Winter is coming but I still MISS YOU ALL

Racing off season can be a drag then it can give you time to reflect on what you have done right during last season and all the things that were not right.

This is where the DVD’S that I sell during the season come in handy because I can always pull the races out slide them in the DVD player and watch some of the greatest racing every Saturday Night at New Senoia Raceway in Senoia Georgia. I can almost smell the fuel and feel the crowds cheering for their favorite driver, nothing like a DVD and they are only $25.00 per copy.

Plus you can have time to sit back and enjoy your family and have some blessed holidays, like Thanksgiving and of course Christmas. Just try not to spend too much cash. I have learned that all I need is what GOD gives me, my needs and not my wants. Sure I am no different than any man; I want that nice HD TV with all the buttons and whistles.
I do not have a wife I can celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas with so I will have to make it somehow through these tough holidays. Last season my wife and I were blessed with a prepared meal from of all the great folks at Team BRC. That made that last holiday season

The best for her and me, it just showed how people cared and that was so special.
When my wife passed away on April 8th, 2011 I lost my life long companion and friend and soul mate. She died of a massive heartache of all things. I never dreamed this would happen I knew she was sick but I was not prepared for her to call my name that morning at 6 a.m. it seems like a bad dream now. Why does GOD take people we love?

There are so many people that have loved ones sick and they need all the prayer we can send their way. Please be aware of this and lets all stick together and get through this cold winter together and remember racing season at New Senoia Raceway begins practicing in March 2012 and racing begins in April 2012 as Chad Harrington throws the green flag to start off another season brought to you by Tim and Tony Moses and Amey his wife and all the outstanding staff that surround Senoia.

Will Late Model Champion Lavon Sparks return to win another season of hard charging racing? Sparks just slipped by Jason Williams who is a super driver in his own right.

Williams and Sparks put on some shows for all the Senoia race fans, and they are the best of friends which makes it better. Look forward to hear Ted Austed “The Voice” of Senoia belt out the name “Racing Jason Williams” or so many other nicknames for drivers.

Those B-Cadet boys raced and beat and banged up some cars last season only to have #3 of “Big” Jeff Carter taking the trophy and winning the 2011 season. Can Carter do it again in 2012?.

I have seen Jeff race for years and the first time I remember him he did the imposible he was running in the back and came storming to the front, at that time I had no idea who he was I just nicknamed him "The Magic Man". Now he has shown he is a proven winner.

The Hobby division was won by none other than #03 of Clifton “Hog Head” Moran who won almost every race he was in. So will this champion be back and try to win it all in 2012 like 2011?
This makes me wonder if a champion in his own right Scott Sherrer driving car #41 will return to prove he is a winner and takes some wins on the high banks at Senoia where history is made.

Come to think about it will the driver from Douglasville Georgia be back in his “BLACK” #K1 show up and prove that he can drive with the best of the best and show that his hobby car has the heart that won’t let him down.

Fans and Families can be assured that coming to watch the racing action at New Senoia Raceway will leave every family happy and want to come back, because this is a family event. Plus you have to remember that Amey Moses is in charge of special events, and Kids are her heart, Bike races for children of every age, plus all kinds of crazy events like a demolition derby brings in fans all the time. Don’t forget last seasons “Waterless Boat race” crazy was not the word for it, pure out fun.

Then there is something new called Spectator races where fans take the family car or truck onto the track for a 2 lap race, winner advances and moves on, until there is a winner of this race.
Later in the Season the Winged Sprint cars invade Senoia and prove that drivers come from everywhere to run fast and hard at Senoia, it’s always a huge night for fans.

Racing at Senoia can be fun, ask those Pure Mini drivers who battle every turn they race like they are the Late Model feature. Never letting off the gas are drivers like Dusty Jones, Stephen Hill, Bo Chambers, Gary Parker, Joe Stephens, Rocky Johnson and more and more every weekend, these boys come to race and show they are the best.

The Champion of the Mini Stocks was none other than Gary Parker taking home the cash and trophy from the 2011 season can he do it again in 2012.

When the crate cars take the track, you know we are about to see some of the fastest drivers, including #91 of Todd Darda, a winner almost every time on the track, but hold on he had some heavy competition from none other than the champion for 2011 Doug Ludwig. Also in this fierce race is #17 of Richie Williams who dad is a hero in Dirt track racing.

So you see you get the best of every race, from Hobby to B-Cadet to Crate to Pure Mini to those Limited Late Models, you have pure excitement from the time the green flag drop till Chad Harrington waves the famous “Double Checkered” Flags over the winning car.

Also some advice from Me to you, and that is when coming to New Senoia Raceway forget stopping to eat at the quick burger joints, have your meal at New Senoia Raceway where the food never taste like card board and the prices are too high. Instead take advantage of the outstanding food from Senoia’s concession stand. There you will always be greeted with a friendly face and smile. Also prices are affordable for all family members.

East Alabama State race fun but WORK

Times were a changing when I filmed at East Alabama Motor Speedway located in Phenix City, Alabama.

A weekend of racing loud and fast and furious action, all with the thanks to Mrs.Beverly Thomas who is a dream to work for.

The entire staff is outstanding, and I know staffs because I work all year during racing season at New Senoia Raceway.

Where racing is outstanding under Tim and Tony Moses, who have taken the track and turned it in to fun for families and racers.

Like all things time for the off season and time to wait and wait and wait for the roar of those engines and seeing the fans come back is something we all can't wait for.

The winter cold months will be upon us and we will long for the days that racing takes place. That is why DVDs or still available from all of 2010 and 2011 of New Senoia Raceway. So anytime you want to order some action call me at 770-361-3019 just ask for Tino that me, and I will get you the DVD of your choice.

Prices for DVDs are just $25.00 if I have to mail them the price is $35.00 to cover my expenses when traveling to the post office and mailing them I hope you understand.

In some sad news , my favorite outstanding and CLASS Driver Scott Duffy driver of the famous #25 was injured when he fell through a roof while working his family needs all the prayers they can get. Please pray for Scott and his wife Dina, they are some special people and we never want to hear of any driver hurt. They have become just like a family member of our own and GOD we pray will BLESS Scott and bring his health back to normal. Please I ask again PRAY for Scott Duffy and his entire family.

I know the BLOGS have been short and sweet but I have been going through some hard times on my end. Remember if you are married no matter how long, make sure you tell your mate how much you LOVE HER/HIM because you never know when they could pass away just like my wife on April 8, 2011.

when my wife was still alive and Yeah thanks for standing on one leg when Ted asked you too, that proves you are the best there is.I needed to shut down and get home, you were special.

Thanks TED for being the VOICE of New Senoia Raceway, I have learned things from you that I never knew I could are would. You helped me get through some tough times when I lost my wife, and I will always thank you, one thing for sure is I can always hear you say "Let Go Play in the Clay", something that rings out every time I think of you.

Thanks Tony Moses for keeping the track as well as could be expected and thanks for just smiling and being a friend though I never got close to you, you are still special.

Special thank to Tim Moses, who took me from West Georgia Speedway and gave me a chance to show what I could do filming some of the greatest races at Senoia being their and understanding. 2010, I would have never known that in 2011 in April, that my wife would pass away and Tim was the first person I called when she was pronounced dead at the hospital, thanks Tim

Thank You Tim for being there for me that just proves you are a class act gentleman.

The showdown begins this Saturday Night at New Senoia Raceway, as the racing season comes to a end, but it will be a close finish for 2 drivers, Late Model driver Levon Sparks and Racing Jason Williams, both tied...or a few points separating them.

Chad Harrington, the "OLD MAN" 72 years of age in the flag stand makes sure every car is lined up and no one gets a cheat with a fast start. Chad is well known, for showing his BLACK GLOVE to drivers that don't mind.

Harrington has been flaging for years and has become the man that you come to watch when at a race, because of his doubled checkered and flags flying over the winning car, no one does it better.

In all joking Harrington was born in 72, so figure out the math and you will know his age.

Thanks to Chad Harrington, for making dirt track racing fun again, as photographer I have seen them all and none is better at his job than Chad Harrington. He is amazing and the race becomes secondary, just watching him flag is worth the price of admission.

ho has dominated the hobby racing at Senoia all year long.

Winning on Sept 17,2011 was again Clifton Moran Hog Head...better known as.

Thanks to all the amazing fans that packed Senoia Raceway every night, your the best.

To the B-Cadet races featuring the man on top

of the points Mr.Jeff Carter, in his famous #03 car that is worn down from all the racing and beating it has taken during the year, one thing for sure Jeff never hold back and I don't see him going down without a fight during the last race of the season.

t 17, 2011 was none other than #17 Marcus Caswell a legend in racing history.

But then again #24c Corey Payton has showed some courage as a young driver, and I believe he is a up and coming superstar, just watching him drive and the way he walks and talks shows he is a fan favorite and will be in 2012 as well.

Winning again on Sept.17, 2011 was none other than Todd Darda, who has proven he is a champion.

When the crate cars take the track will again #91 Todd Darda prove he is the master or will he be challenged by #16 Trey White, or what about #17 of Richie Williams.

Thanks to every driver that has purchased a DVD from me, it is with many thanks I come here and thank you from the bottom of my heart, I know my wife was unable to attend the races at Senoia because of illness, but she was there watching every Sunday or Monday when I was making copies for drivers, and she was amazed at what she saw. She made many friends that she never got to meet like the great Lisa Carter, and Jeff Carter, a special family.

And I want to thank the drivers that never bought a DVD from me, I am sad you never did but hope in the future you will. I know my wife has the best seat in the house on race night, high in heaven watching you daring drivers push your cars to new limits.

When the Pure Mini cars crank up, will we be seeing, Gary Parker, Bo Chambers, or Stephen Hill or maybe Dusty Jones show the leadership or will it be Dough Bright in his #9 car the Original. Bright has the lead in points and

is favored but his car went south last Saturday night giving Gary Parker the win.

When the Limited Late Models run, the show will be between Lavon Sparks and his friend Jason Williams who never comes to finish in 2nd place, and if you throw in Little Joe Armistead if he is there you never know what kind of race we will see.

Levon Sparks somehow out runs Little Joe Armistead and Jason Williams wins this super fast outstanding race on Sept.17, 2011 there was a protest by the two 2nd and 3rd place cars and sure enough Lavon Sparks was found to be legal in every way.

But every eye will be on Sparks and Williams for the Late Model POINTS Lead.....so watch close. Neither driver will be slowing down or backing up, this will be the race of the year.

Racing at Senoia comes to a end on Saturday Sept.24, 2011 but will be back to play in the Clay sometime in March 2012 with more exciting racing action of all kinds and I know all the drivers will be ready.

And THANKS to a driver we lost in 2011, Michael Cesare driver of car #45 never won a race but was always happy and wanted to learn, we thank his family for all the great times I shared with him by phone, and listening and laughing the memorial to Michael was at Senoia Raceway and was the greatest show there was as all the cars from every class filled the track and followed the #45 driven by the car half owner, and at the end Chad Harrington threw the double checkered flags for my Friend that I will miss always. GOODBYE Michael for now.....see you later.

Double Features at Senoia Sept 10, 2011

Yes even Tina Parker, wife of Hobby driver Steven Parker in his #55 made the show at Senoia, she is one hot precious lady and her husband drives like he rented the car, but Steven did not have the luck he was hoping for because he was racing against, Rusty Johnson and the winner of back to back races Clifton Moran better known as "Hog Head", who's streak has not been broken.

ROUND 1

The Champion "Hog Head" Clifton Moran would prove that he could win from any place on the track.

Remember this was a double feature so the winner of Round 1 was sent to the back of the field and would have to fight his way up to the front. Moran took round one easy like always but round 2 was

more difficult but this driving ability proved he could beat anyone on the track with him, as he avoided a sliding car and missed the being in a wreck to get out of the way of a car that had slide Moran car seemed to have eyes and know when and where to make the moves even coming and going around lapped cars he was blazing.

But Clifton would have his hands full if last years champion Scott Sherrer's

#41 hobby car was ready to give him a run, and sure enough round 1 went to Moran with Sherrer coming in 2nd place in round one.

ROUND 2 Double feature

A cut tire would keep him from Round 2 and that was what made the second round less interesting. There were drivers like Rusty Johnson and others but no driver could match the speed or ability of Clifton Moran. What was hard to believe was the crowd was yelling "Tear him down" it was amazing. So far Moran has been legal or no one wants to protest his car.

The man Big Scott himself showed up at Senoia with his game face on, and was ready to prove the Champion was back, Scott is a gentle giant and humble person but put him behind the wheel of a race car he becomes a new and improved animal.

HIS FIRST WIN, WOW COREY PAYTON DOES IT!

After a rough round one of racing in the night of double features, Corey Payton proved he was the new kid in town, and the girls and his fans cheered as he grabbed his first victory at Senoia in the B-Cadet feature.

Payton is like his father, except there is a new fire built in him and if he keeps driving we are going to see big things from this young

talented driver.

His father is well known at all the dirt tracks in Georgia and Alabama and his kindness shows but he now has his son sitting in the seat of the #24c car, and Corey is in it to make a name for himself.

Being the son of Ricky Payton is just one thing, but he has to live up to the name of Payton and give the crowd what it wants and needs NEW Blood in this grueling sport.

The Corey Payton fan club has already started and this young man was showered with congratulations after winning his first of many to come races on the New Senoia Racetrack where History is made every Saturday night.

Keep your eye out for the #24C of young gun Corey Payton, and don't forget we will have more on this young man in later blogs.

at New Senoia Raceway remember that the late models were there also, and in the race was #25 of a class act driver, Scott Duffy, who would start in the back and work his car to the middle of the pack making sure he stayed out of any kind of wrecks that would happen up front.

But in Round 2 Duffy started on the pole and led his way around the he track leading everyone and there was a lot of folks following him, I am sure Scott had one thing on his mind and that was keep his car up front. He sure did not want to see what was happening in the back of him.

Racing hard were Lavon Sparks a

nd Jason Williams, two drivers tied in the points lead, also racing was the father and son of Shane Fulcher and his father who were proving to be a force.

Scott has been driving long enough to know that being in a race that featured like Shane Fulcher, Jason Williams, Lavon Sparks, not to mention the legendary #54 of Mike Head who won round 1 easy, was a task in itself.

But like it or not when Chad Harrington throwing the double checkered flags closing round 2 of the late model race, Scott Duffy became your winner and what a story he has been.

One thing for sure is the late model points race is going down to the wire with Jason Williams and Lavon Sparks fighting for top spots.

But the night did not belong to Head, Sparks, Williams , Fulcher, it belonged to Scott Duffy and that's all he cared about was getting that win under his belt and making him feel so much better.

When the Pure Mini's fired their engines, it was a battle royal between #16 Stephen Hill and his rival #4 Dusty Jones, who battled all the way around the track side by side, beating and banging but round one would go to the young man that is still not married, Dusty Jones.

The second race in the pure mini's would find "The Original" Dourough Bright show that his car had the power to out run, Dusty Jones as well as others including Stephen Hill, Bo Chambers and Gary Parker.

The crowd cheered as this white haired gentleman climbed out of his car and and crew was so happy. Everyone was happy, including the fans at Senoia. Watching the Pure Minis is like watching a late model race, you never know what will happen, congratulations to Dourough Bright.

When the Crate Late models fired up for round 1 who would have guess that Trey White who has not won a race all year would blow everyone away in his #16 car. Trey is a driver that has supported Senoia Raceway since it opened and now he was proving he could out drive everyone in round 1 and so congratulation's to Trey White.

But Round 2 showed that Tod Darda, was still in control of his #91 Crate Late Model, as he would show what he had. Tod is a fan favorite, and a proven winner.

The night closed after the fans had a chance to see 2 double features, more racing action than in one night. So I know families came and went and were happy. All I can say is that Tim and Tony Moses and all the staff showed their professional style from the staff on the track to the concession stand works to the ticket takers and all the great security people.

SMILES TO EVERY YOUNG CHILD BEFORE GETTING THEIR OWN WRIST BAND PLACES ON WITH LOVE AND JOY. SMILES COME BIG TO EVERYONE.

West Georgia Speedway, Albert Bright Memorial race

Albert Bright was racing in Flordia when Billy Bright Sr was only 10 years old. So you see Albert was the star of the Bright family.

Albert picked up a hard fought win at the East Bay Speedway in Flordia, winning did not come easy and when you won the race you became king for the weekend.

THE A 7 NECKLACE WAS WORN BY ALMOST EVERY BRIGHT MEMBER IT STANDS FOR ALBERT BRIGHT A TRUE AMERICAN DIRT TRACK RACER, WHO PASSED AWAY AND HIS MEMORIAL RACE WAS RUN AT WEST GEORGIA SPEEDWAY, ON SEPT.2, 2011.

THIS IS WHAT BILLY BRIGHT JR HAD AROUND HIS NECK IN ALBERTS HONOR.

Driving Billy Bright Sr's car was none other than Lonnie Bright, he would be driving in place of Albert Bright. Lonnie has a long history of winning racing on dirt tracks that are from Flordia to Georgia....with 8 or more championships. At age of 55 Lonnie looks like he could be back racing anyday. Lonnie is amazing as he started his career in 1977 in of all places Tampa Flordia.

He would go on to win championships at the now closed 7 flags speedway in Douglasville, Georgia and also wins at Senioa Speedway when Senoia was dirt before jumping to asphalt and now of course back to dirt.

Here is a photo of Lonnie Bright and "Nick" who wheres his hat 24-7 the same as the Legend, Billy Bright Sr.

Nick is the grandson of Billy Bright Sr. and could be a racer like the rest of the family.

So you see Lonnie has been around, and around and around and his famous B7 car was one that could be seen at almost every race track on a Saturday night.

Billy Bright Jr, is a fan favorite and always mingles with the fans, shaking hands and showing that huge Billy Bright Smile that he has and seems to stay with him.

In this photo he is hugging Ashleigh should be a Bright right we hope so. I did notice that going into turn one was a huge sea of "Orange Shirts" and we all know anyone wearing Organge is a Bright fan.

Thats funny because as I am looking down writing this I have my Orange Bright shirt on, and I wear it proudly.

Drivers came from everywhere including Racing Jason Williams, who would be driving a new car #77 which has had some problems at Senoia Raceway but with Williams in the seat who know what it would be like.

In this Photo Jason is trimming a old tire for more grip for a fellow driver. One thing about Williams he is always willing to help a fellow driver are just some one that needs help. Jason William remember his name because he is only rising to the top of the racing world.

Some other legends made the show, and one was Doug Stevens #77 not a household name but his father Stevens Sr was a huge racer and won lots of races including when he rode Motorcycles on the dirt tracks travingling in excess of 150 mph.

Then there was a young man that I had the chance to speak with his name Kyle Lowry and his drove for years in Legend cars, now he has traded his legend car in for this #33 Crate car.

One thing for sure Lowry can drive and he is only getting better as time goes on.

One thing for sure the stands at West Georgia Speedway were packed in honor of Albert Bright Memorial. Taking the Hobby car win was #11 Blant Duke a champion in his own right.

In the B-Cadet race we had not a Bright as a winner but none other than Mark Knight

In the Crate race winning was #89 of young Carey Smith

and in the Pure Mini race was #55 of Evan Lancaster

Cars that were in the Crate race were drivers like #13 Roger Cassell, #16 Tony Kemp #33 Kyle Lowry, #28d of Darrell Frick , #96m of young Marty Lunsford, #T7 of Tim Bright

The fans and Brights had a great time and we know we will be seeing another next season of the Albert Bright Memorial.

For everyone that attended I am sure all the Brights thank you as well as Sammy Duke, one more person that needs to be thanked is Brandon Duke for running a great show.

Again, it was a outstanding night, filled with bike races for the kids, plus a powder puff finish it was outstanding and every fan got their moneys worth of action.

The LONG HOT WEEKEND IS OVER

Headed home, showered, blew the dust out of his nose, had some Pizza and got to bed around 4 a.m. got up, had a steak for breakfast and was ready to roll again, back to Senoia Raceway for the Outlaw Sprint car races........nice life....that is Chad Harrington, Georgia's premire FLAGMAN on the stand.

Now this is my kind of fellow, loves Pizza and Steak and what he does for a living, flaging some of the best races in Georgia and Alabama. Folks let me put it this way when Chad is NOT on the flagstand, there is a world of difference and you know he means bussiness.

A all American family man, who loves life and would you believe his wife will not come and watch him flag, because she is afraid that a car will go wildly through the air and hit the flagstand and take her man out.

Friday and Saturday night proved to be some of the best racing at New Senoia Raceway putting on the show was a man that knows his bussiness and his drivers. The Outlaw sprint cars invaded Senoia, Friday night which is what I called the "Dust Bowl" , no rain has not helped anyone here in Georgia, no matter how much water Tim and Tony Moses placed on the track could not help out. The dust was flying as fast as the outlaw sprint cars, as well as the regular shows.

The Winged Outlaw winner was none other that Terry Gray, who is a proven winner every where he races.
Terry was Saturday night main 30 lap feature winner, and when you say drop the green and go these boys were gone, and before I looked up to check my camera settings they were finished and Chad Harrington was waving the double checkerd flag over the cars as they crossed in front of him.

When the Hobby feature rolled on the track, you had Clifton Moran known as "Hog Head" and Rusty Johnson and some extra cars that were trying to steal the win away from Points leader Morant was strange was that at the end of the feature the crowd below where I was filming was yelling TEAR HIM DOWN, TEAR HIM DOWN, it was almost a chant. Moran had just won his 15th straight race in a row and that seems strange, but there was no protest and he walked away with the cash and the points for another night.

Pure Mini driver Dusty Jones showed his car had the power to out motor every other pure mini driver on the track including #16 Stephen Hill who had won just a weekend ago, out motoring Jones in a battle of a race.

When it was time for the B-Cadet cars to roll onto the track, gee whiz compared to Friday nights 3 car show we had a total of 5 cars, and out of the 5 #17 Marcus Caswell would sweep both nights in his famous car, Caswell one of the most respected drivers is gettting older but he drives like the wind and puts them all to shame.

There was a young a talented Cory Payton Jr, in the 24c that was racing but just could not get the grip to stay with Caswell, Payton is a young man that needs to be followed as he is a up and coming star.

Almost every dirt track fan has heard the name "Cat Daddy" or Clint Smith, who is one of the premier drivers of late model cars, well Clint drove the #29 car of Shane Fulchers fathers car on Friday night, but of all things the car broke. No problem Cat daddy took the car to his shop and worked on it and out ran everyone including Jason Williams. Other drivers that were racing were none other than Little Joe Armistead Jr, and so many others.

Jason Williams started up front along side of "Cat Daddy" but it was amazing how much they battled each other, but in the end Clint Smith drove the #29 car to victory and the waving checkered flag win.

The same goes for Racing Jason Williams, you want to see the best drivers in the south New Senoia Raceway is the place to see the action.

BIG NEWS IN THE LATE MODEL DIVISTION, RACING JASON WILLIAMS IN NOW THE POINTS LEADER TAKING IT FROM OF ALL FOLKS LEVON SPARKS....SOME THING LIKE 13 POINTS....

CONGRAGULATIONS JASON!

The fans got their moneys worth, with the Outlaw Sprint Cars plus the 25 lap feature between the big boys in Late Model.

Drivers like Mike Head made the show, Shane Fulcher, Joe Ameristead Jr, and of course, Jason Williams, plus young Matt Dooley, and points leader Lavon Sparks, plus so many extra drivers just trying to earn that $1000 cash prize.

It was a huge payoff by the track as the Outlaws were making $3000 to win for their 30 lap race, and the Late Models a $1000 to win, so every driver was making some cash.

One thing for sure got their moneys worth of racing and alot more, as the food was being eaten like never before, the stands were packed, and people came from everywhere the Outlaw Sprint car drivers came from 7 or more States, Penn. N.C. Alabama, Miss, Tenn. and Georgia and places I never heard of. Ine thing one thing for sure these drivers do this for a living and traveling is part of the deal.

I want to thank the staff and New Senoia Raceway, for helping me each and every night do what I do best and that is film the incredible races, of some of the best young and older drivers in this sport. From Hobby to B-Cadet to Crate to Late model to those fearless pure mini drivers I have found a new passion for racing because of the magnifisant staff. anks to everyone including all those that help get me set up for filming, who I appreciate so much. Also thanks to the VOICE of Senoia Raceway Ted Austed, who I have become freinds with and a HIGH FIVE goes out to the premier flagman that I have ever seen and that is Chad Harrington.

GET READY TO RUMBLE 25 LAPS AT SENOIA

Its true, this weekend 25 laps will be filled with who knows how many cars all in what is called "Pure Mini Mania" at New Senoia Raceway.

This is the weekend for the best of the best to shine and take home some extra cash, drivers please have your cars ready to rumble.

Fans come early and bring your friends and family this is going to be some wild racing.

The driver that has been on a roll has been none other than #4 of all American, young star driver Dusty Jones, but can he watch wits with drivers like Bo Chambers or Gary Parker or who else decides to make the show.

There is one driver that had his B-Cadet car at Senoia last week only to have it destroyed in a massive wreck on the start of the race. He is young talented Erik Hogsed, who will be driving in the Pure mini mania feature.

All I know is we are about to see some beating and banging, but some driver will make it all 25 laps and be crowned the winner.

The crowds have been huge at Senoia and more and more people are coming out to see the best of the best race.

When you think of Pure Mini Cars you think slow and a headache to watch, but down deep these drivers drive like the late model drivers do, they show their talent on the track and get excited if they win, They may not have the nicest cars as is the case of #13 Gary Parker whose car looks like he takes it to the track races and parks it until next Saturday. Then you have #17J of Joe Spencer who has yet to win a major race but his car looks like it should be the pace car of the race, clean and always looking great. The trouble is Joe runs in the back, next to Rocky Johnson.

With all the talk about the Pure Mini Mania race, hey lets talk about the other great features, like the limited late model race where it was so close between Little Joe Armistead Jr and Jason Williams, who raced for another win, but Little Joe was hanging on so close until his car went south on him and he backed down and Jason Williams took another win.

What caught my eye was the huge battle between Shane Fulcher and Levon Sparks who were having their own personal battle, they went back and forth almost wrecking at one time in the race, but cool driving by Shane brought all the good things out. One thing for sure Shane Fulcher is not a loser and is always looking for ways to make his car faster, I believe that his car this weekend could take the win, if everything stays together.

But again Jason Williams, would win and close in on Levon Sparks who is the points leader. These points are slowly dropping as Williams is catching him.

The B-Cadets will also be racing and Jeff Carter still has the points lead, will he hold on for long, with drivers like Marcus Caswell making the race.

Then you have other drivers that are more or less in the way, but that is why they call it racing.

One fatal mistake of a slide took Jeff Carter from front to 2nd place Saturday night. You have to remember Jeff is running on a worn out motor and he hopes he can make it till the season is over.

The Hobby car race has taken on a new aspect, with the arrival of #16 Austin Horton who is believe it or not driving a bomber car in the hobby race and was giving every one a real run until he cut a tire racing hard against #33 Rusty Johnson.

The man that has a huge points lead is none other than #07 of Cilfton Moran who has dominated the Hobby features, I just think if Austin had not cut the tire he would have given Clifton a run for the money. Lets see what happens this Saturday night in the feature.

Last feature was the Crate race, and again Todd Darda proved he had the car that had to be beaten, even when he had Chase Edge chasing him plus others. Darda is no stranger to the winners circle and again he did what he does best WIN.

The night started somber but everyone all fans stood in silence as the #45 car of a driver that passed away was giving a tribute memorial to his kindness. Michael Cesare in his 40's passed away and I though only the B-Cadet cars would be allowed to show him tribute but my friends there were 40 plus cars all following the number #45 car and every car was from every class, Chad Harrington did what Michael would have dreamed of and that was throw double checkered flags as his car passed the flag stand, and in a moving tribute all cars stopped on the front straight shutting off their motors and every fan standing in silence for the driver that was a class act, maybe they never met Michael but he was a driver and is now gone and who knows he could have won, not this season but he would win and I was going to be the one to capture his win on video.

Tears came out of my eyes as I have lost a friend, but the tribute made me know that Michael would have been smiling from ear to ear, there was no driver that did not like Michael he was a talker and learned his driving on the track. He would trail in his final race on 7-23-11 and with his sister in the stands, which I did not know, he crashed late in the race into a spinning #B7 driven by Tim Bright, no where to go Michael drove head first into Tims car, the next day we talked and he was laughing but he said he had learned and that is what Michael was all about learning that is why he had so many friends.

We hope to see all the pure mini cars at New Senoia Raceway this weekend for Mini Mania, so drivers get ready to rumble and bring your best car to the track.

Michael was always looking UP was this a sign, was this his way of talking with the LORD or was this just Michael and man with the greatest of attitudes. He was always uplifting,

talking to him was like talking to someone that could cheer you up in every way.

MICHAEL C. CESARE 1966-2011 A MAN WITH DIFFERENT FACES AND SMILES

GOD Bless Larry Cesare his brother and everyone of his family members including Jackie Cesare, AND everyone of his friends everywhere.

And may the LORD be with him always, he was a true friend.

Short track drivers are plenty, but there was something special about Michael, he drove his #45 B-Cadet car and raced hard, he drove in the back because he was just learning his new craft, he was making some strides until his last race at New Senoia Raceway on July 23, 2011, where he was racing hard just to finish in the top 10 when of all things another car spun and he had no where to go except into the spun out car.

Michael and myself talked the next day and he laughed and told me that he would be back to the track as soon as his car was ready, he was excited and loved what he was doing. He also said he had just learned something import

ant and that was to try and not mess up the front of the car where the engine was, instead do what all racers do sacrifice the body, the sides, the rear end, just not the front. You see Michael learned from that and said he might have the car back the next weekend but he never showed up.

Michael loved his Minnesota Vikings, and was ready for a great football season, like I said earlier in a BLOG Michael and myself had planned on taking in the Viking Falcon game at the Georgia Dome. Of course I had to make sure he knew I would be wearing my Falcon gear, and he said that would be fine because he would be in his Viking gear. All I knew was that I had never been to a Falcon game at all and going with Michael would be the ultimate trip.

The game would take on more meaning when the Falcons were beating the Vikings and I could rub it in, or so I thought.

This season I plan on dedicating the season to rooting for the Vikings in every game they play, of course I will remain a Falcons fan, but the season will mean more knowing the Viking keep winning and winning just like Michael would want.

Sports have taken on a new meaning for me, and I am sure for other folks, you see I lost my wife in April early in the morning she called my name and then she was gone. My life seems to change when she passed away, I was lost. Then in May I started talking with Michael Cesare, and it was so amazing at all he was doing in his life. He was happy and great to talk with, h

e knew what happened to my wife but we had never met until July 23, 2011 that day that I videoed his race where he was in 2 wrecks. That video is special to me because you see Michael was some one I had been writing about and he was giving me joy. Lots of drivers would read about him and say when they saw me that they wondered who this Michael Cesare was and my answer was "He is the next dirt track superstar" . Of course I never knew that I would not have another chance to speak to him. So maybe that is why when I am at a dirt track filming I have the highest regards for all drivers of every class. Because in truth you never know when GOD will call you home. You could be in a race car , or you could be at home alone. When it is your time to go, GOD is needing you more than we are. It hurts because Michael was young and talented and loved what he was doing. We talked about the day he would win his first race and we laughed and said he would act like he had just won the Daytona 500.

One thing for sure he will be missed and there will be a Memorial race lap for Michael at New Senoia Raceway this weekend of Aug.13, 2011 so please be there.

Never afraid of asking for a autograph, Michael was happy to get this signature from a member of the famous KISS group.

Michael was Italian and as you can see by his mothers cooking he never missed a meal, he loved her food so much that when he went back to visit everyone in Albany New York he had to bring some back with him, my kind of fellow. I mean my wife was a Georgia gal, and cooked Southern foods, but my Mother when she was alive and I was young cooked some of the most outstanding spaghetti and her famous sauce that I could have ever had.

Thank YOU Michael for letting me take these last photo of you on July 23, 2011 at New Senoia Raceway GOD knows I never knew they would be the last I every took of my friend.

Coming to work, is something that Ted Austed does every Saturday night at New Senoia Raceway, he comes to do a job and he does it so well he also works at Atlanta Motor Speedway,

and other places, he has a dream job.

I call Ted "THE VOICE" he does a super job keeping fans and everyone knowing what is happening at Senoia Raceway on Saturday nights where men come and "Play in the

Clay"

MEET THE MASTER

Ted comes to work, in this nice Chevy that he drives to the track and most all fans want a picture of this super looking car but only Ted gets the keys....man he is lucky.

Meet Ted and his precious wife, Teresa as they spend some precious time in California at of all places "Grande Vineyard, yeah go Ted drink that

wine.

While Ted and his wife were taking such a great shot of the Vineyard, their son Adam was

was trying to pour his own, and I am sure he did get some of this outstanding wine before the day was over.

I have always watched a rerun television show called "Coach" and it was a 30 minute sitcom shot in Minnesota about a football coach of the the Minnesota Golden Gophers never did I dream this was a real team or place, now I see the evidence on this proudly displayed shirt.

Whatever the number 2335 is displayed on her shirt and she must have run or walked or something to get this number , whatever she had fun and that is all that counts in life because life is too short.

Now this is my kind of cousin, his name is Bruno, and that is Italian right, and I am sure he loves to eat and drink that great wine. From the looks of it Ted and Bruno have been in the sauce as you say, whatever they are "HAPPY".

Cesare, Michael C. NEWNAN, Ga Michael Christopher Cesare passed away suddenly Sunday, July 31, 2011 at his home in Newnan, Ga. Born in Albany, he was the son of Violet Borowski (Edward) and the late Lawrence Joseph Cesare. Michael was a graduate of Albany High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy. After an honorable discharge of service in the U.S. Navy, Michael completed the aviation technician program at Colorado Aero Tech. After being recruited by Delta Airlines, Michael began his career as a mechanic. Delta soon realized Michael's enormous mechanical talents, and promoted him to the level of inspector. He fulfilled many of his life's dreams while climbing the career ladder. He was also an active member and past senior warden of the Turin Masonic Lodge #337 for many years. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, enjoyed car racing, and recently starting racing cars himself. He had a passion for motorcycles, building and owning classic cars, and travelled extensively throughout the world, making hundreds of friends along the way. He touched the hearts of many people who met him with his witty, funny, generous, and loving personality. Michael left a lasting impression of kindness and an unparalleled zest for life, felt by everyone fortunate enough to meet him. Michael was the beloved brother of Jacqueline Cesare Farrell, Lawrence J. Cesare and Vincent R. Cesare; stepbrother of Brian, Margo and Robert; awesome uncle to Rose, Chelsea, Peter, Samantha and Ashley. He will be remembered by several aunts, uncles and cousins and his dog Mooch and countless friends, many who followed in his footsteps to join the Vikings Nation. SKOL!!! MY FRIEND IS GONE, WHY????

"GOD WANTED MY FRIEND, BUT I DID NOT WANT HIM TO LEAVE"

Michael was always LOOKING UP!

My close friend, who I laughed and talked with every

week many times is now gone, why? I still have no idea he was a blessing always, he was a joy to know and maybe it makes no sense he was helping me get through the loss of my wife. His joyful tone, his enthusiasm for dirt track racing was so apparent.

Michael Cesare was a dreamer and loved everyone he would meet.

He laughed and talked with other drivers, he was always listening and wanted to make friends with everyone, when the car was damaged he and his partner had to work on it, when it needed it.

He was "Ricky Bobby" of dirt track racing, He was special and everyone knew his smile.

He loved to race the high banks of New Senoia Raceway,he loved racing in the back and was looking forward to his first Checkered flag. I laughed and told him I was hoping I was still filming the races because his win would be like he

won the Daytona 500.

Racing hard among some of the best, like Marcus Caswell, the Brights, Jeff Carter and Blake Griffin, Mark Knight and so many other talented drivers.

Many a Saturday night he would walk around talking to each driver smiling and learning from the best. He would pick up tricks from every driver, and every driver was his friend. When he drove he was driving in the back learning every Saturday night. He was taking his time learning what and when to do things, he was just a joy to be around.

When things went wrong, Michael was the kind of person that never jumped on some other drivers for his mistakes, he would smile , repair and go back to the track and race just as hard.

We would laugh because of his heritage, and I would tell him if he kept eating those good Italian meals he would start winning some big races.

The last time I had to privilege of filming Michael was on July 23, 2011 when he

was racing with the best and getting ready to try and finish in the big $600 to win B-Cadet race, and all during the filming I had the camera back and forth between leaders and Michael, I was watching him make some moves that I had never seen him try. It was the last time I would see him race as he T-Boned Tim Bright who had spun in turn 4 and there was no where for Michael to go, he slammed hard into Tim Bright who was driving Billy Bright Sr's, B-Cadet car, that was hard on him but never hurt him. His car was pulled around to the pit area and the side was torn away from the body.

Remember this had nothing to do with his death, this was just racing and something he laughed and said he learned about, meaning he was sup

posed to save the engine and slide backwards or slide into the car with the body of the car taking the brunt of the force. This again was a learning experience.

This was the last Photo I took of Michael smiling his smile at the sign in window, always joking and laughing and making you feel good

even when you were down and out.

I know his family and friends and loved ones will miss him, and I hope and pray that your prayers go out to his family. Michael was not married, he was single and was happy, he was a man on a mission, what it was I never knew all I do know was he was supposed to be at New Senoia Raceway and stand on the top of the tower with me to see my view of the races, plus he was so excited to watch the "water-less boat race".

This was Michael Cesare, caring fuel to his car, sweating but loving every

minute of life.

Something I will share with you regarding Michael, he was a Minnesota Viking fan,

and with every thing happening in my life with the lose of my wife, I was planing on going with him to the Georgia Dome to see the Minnesota Vikings play the Atlanta Falcons, of course I would be pulling for the Falcons and we would laugh and tease each other regarding the game.

And yes it was true he was planing on changing the color of his race car to the colors of his beloved Minnesota Vikings team, leave it to Michael.

To all his family and fellow friends I have dedicated this "LAST BLOG OF THE LIFE OF MICHAEL CESARE"

Please drivers this coming weekend please bring your cars on the track for a silent parade memorial lap for one of my friends and a great driver, who will be missed so much by everyone.

Chad Harrington, is ready to wave the checkered flag as Michael Cesare comes around turn 4, this would have been his his dream.

We all know GOD loves Dirt track drivers and Michael is smiling today in Heaven.

Thank YOU Michael for all your great conversations, your smile and thank you for being in my life for such a short time, we needed more time.

All Dirt track racers are mourning today and I am sure Tim Moses and his fine staff will see that a Memorial Lap will take place this weekend at New Senoia Raceway, please be there to show your support in a silent lap.

New Senoia Raceway Saturday July 30, 2011

"2 REASON TO MAKE SURE YOUR ARE AT NEW SENOIA RACEWAY"

First fans will be treated to some of the best racing in the south by some of the best dirt track drivers from Georgia to Alabama.

Hobby car featuring #07 Clifton "Hog Head" Moran who is the points leader and also will be going for another win, can he do it or will some one else take the win?

The B-Cadet race will be "Bright less" no pun intended, as the Brights will be racing at another track in Georgia. So fans will not see the Orange a White cars. Remember they will be handing their points to drivers that were in 4Th and 5Th place with everyone moving up. Thus making sure #3 Jeff Carter opens up a bigger lead in the points standing.nd White cars that are driven by Billy Bright Sr. or Billy Bright Jr. this also remains a big item because they will be losing their points lead .

The Crate car race will again show some outstanding drivers and we are wondering if Tod Darda can continue his winning feats. I am sure he will be challenged and that is all the fans ask for.

When the Pure Mini feature begins we are wondering if #54 Bo Chambers can hold off #4 Dusty Jones, or #13 Gary Parker, news is that #00 Matt Black will be racing elsewhere, which is sad.

When the Limited Late Models come onto the track we all know that the 25 laps will be fast. Drivers like #73 Racing Jason Williams could make a repeat, but then I will never count out #9 Shane Fulcher, or Scott Duffy, or any driver in the hot class of racers.

Remember all the best food is available to every fan, so don't stop at your local fast food place when Senoia is known for some great food and cool drinks. Everyone working with the food are pro's and aim to please you.

Remember that Staff is always willing to help you in any of your needs, meet my friend John always willing to help and just have that special smile at the track.

THEN ARE YOU READY TO BE THRILLED LIKE NEVER BEFORE BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE NIGHT , NEW SENOIA RACEWAY WILL HAVE THE 1ST EVER

"WATERLESS BOAT RACE" I know that you will see some of the most outstanding crazy things happenings, and if you like destruction from turn one to turn 4 you have not seen anything like you will witness.....boats pulled by cars and the last boat still in tack or half way WINS.

Remember NO TRAILERS, NO WATER Just massive carnage.

So there are the 2 BIG reasons to be at New Senoia Raceway, and bring the family to this outstanding event.

Elderly fan comes to relax and unwind watching the men race at Senoia Raceway.

Good food goes great at New Senoia Raceway

Drivers from every where converge on New Senoia Raceway to make sure they get in for some of the best dirt track racing in the South.

What can you say but the action was fast and furious, and also had some heated moments that cost Billy Bright Sr. from being in the big 30 lap B-Cadet race, a race with $600 at stake plus a trophy that would have stood taller that Billy Sr. but during the heat races caused Billy Bright Sr. and Brandon Pijenburg in his red #83 played bang bang with #B7 off the Senior Bright.

According to officials Sr. had been

warned regarding rough driving, and he not only was having it out but took it out on #83 while in of all places the pit area where innocent people are walking

and could have been hurt. So the man that runs the show Tim Moses gave Billy Sr. the toss and told him he would not drive in the big race, and that is when the folks of the B7 cars became in raged.

to the race was always willing to give me a great chance to take his photo, if you did not know Tim was just married to a real beauty, her name is Meghan Bright take a look at her.

There has been some bad blood between the Carters and Brights but the bad blood spilled over to a great humble driver, #47 Mark Knight, who was infuriated with Jeff Carter, both seemed to really have things out for each other.

The B-Cadet race was the race that everyone was there to see and there

were some big name drivers for this event, from of course the Brights, Carters, to Mark Knight plus so many others even Michael Cesare in his famous #45 was there.

Prior to the race, Michael Cesare comes

in with his famous smile, a driver who just wants to finish a race, something he dreams of is taking a "Checkered Flag" but that is in the distance but it will come and I hope I am there to see it.

Watch Michael Cesare take this famous hot lap wreck, wow, caught it all click , click, click...and them BAM for Michael....not good.

Again Michael was binding his time running close to the back but his car was running better and better ever lap, he was gaining

and would have finished the race except that near the end of the B-Cadet race near lap 27 Tim Bright who was driving Billy Bright Sr's. car spun coming out of turn 4 and was sitting in the middle of the track , the sad thing was the car following him was Michael Cesare and yes it was true Michael had nowhere to go, if he went to low he would have hit the inside wall. if he went high he would have hit Tim Bright broadside, so he choose to dive low and that is when half of his car was demolished as seen on the video, but the best news was that Michael was fine, maybe disgusted but he walked away. Tim Bright also was fine and walked away from this crash.

This summed up, the night for Michael Cesare, you know next time he will save the front and damage the rear or sides.....We are waiting for this driver's first big win.

"BILLY BRIGHT JR. STRIPPED OF HIS FEATURE WIN"

But the real story was the battle up front as Billy Bright Jr was leading all the way all 30 laps and was challenged by #83 of Brandon Pijenburg who was showing he had the car to pass and maybe capture the win. Then the unthinkable happened to Brandon, nearing the 30 lap mark he was out of tear offs for his visor and he literaly had to pull it up and drive with it up, which is not the best thing

to do. What makes it worse he took the waving of the white flag for the checkered flag and after the flag stand backed down and let off the gas, that's when his car drifted back slowly, letting #31 Blake Griffin, and #47 Mark Knight to blow by him. What a mistake he could have finished 2nd to Billy Bright Jr. but that was not going to happen and what makes it worse is that when Billy Bright Jr crossed the line and took the checkered flag we were waiting for a very happy Billy Bright Jr to jump out of the car to get his photo taken and hear a great interview, instead we heard him say "How many Bright fans are here?" "If you want to see

us race again be at West Georgia Speedway next Saturday Night". That's what infuriated Tim Moses and some of the fans that of all things instead of cheering for Billy where booing loudly. Then to top things off, when the car was brought into the pit area, Billy Bright Jr was found to be running illegal and he was "Disqualified" taking the trophy and cash away, from him and #31 B

lake Griffin became the winner with the 2nd place car being #47 Mark Knight the night was long but it was over, and I truly believe we have seen the last of the Brights at Senoia Raceway, if what they say is true, then they will keep their word and head to West Georgia Speedway next weekend. What will racing be like without the Brights? Does any one know?

We do know that racing will go on as expected, less the Brights and t

here presence at the track. Also Billy Sr and Billy Jr will be giving u

p their points lead.

To me it is almost like giving the 4th or 5th place cars to move up and catch Jeff Carter who has the points lead.

Remember there was other racing action on this night that was rain free for a change, the Hobby race was run by the best and the winner was #07 Clifton "Hog Head" Moran, who drove his #07 like he has always drove, he is a pure winner.

One driver that had a bad night right after the green flag dropped was #K1 a car that was supposed to be driven by a true legend Kip Sanfill, but instead in the drivers seat was all American Jimmy "All American" Appleby but when a tie rod broke coming down the front steech all he could do is hang on for the ride straight into the wall at New Senoia Raceway, lucky for Jimmy he walked away fine and that shows how much these cars can take. Now the big question will be willing to drive the #K1 car again, are did this shake him up.

The order of finish for the Hobby class race was:

1 #07 Clifton Moran

2 #33 Rusty Johnson

3 #81 Houston Hachett

The Pure Mini's cars ran 2nd and that changed up the order of running,

in the race #4 Dusty Jones was among the group, and he was a challenger until something let go in his car and he backed down and everyone went around him.

Later it was known that Jones who was driving and heading to the front cut a tire, and that messed his night up.

The show was put on by Bo Chambers with challenges by Lonnie Patterson and Gary Parker, but know one was catching Chambers as he took the 15 lap race in style. Bo has been a winner at Senoia raceway and knows how and what it takes to win.

Order of finish was as follows:

1) #54 Bo Chambers

2) Lonnie Patterson
3) #13 Gary Parker

All in all the Pure Mini drivers don't come to play they come to put on a

show, and they always do.

The next feature was the Limited Late Model race, that would be run early do to the 30 lap feature with the B-Cadet boys.

So 25 laps of pure Late model racing would bring out the best, like #73 "Racing Jason" Williams who would be chased by points leader #11 Lavon Sparks, a

nd racing in 3rd place and putting on a show was #54 of legendary Mike Head.

Williams has been on a winning streak, and he does not take 2nd place well

.

We did miss drivers like #9 Shane Fulcher and hope he returns this Saturday to the bank track of New Senoia raceway. One special driver that I would like to welcome back to Senoia raceway was #00 Steven Endicott who has always been a fan favorite.

Endicott's night would be cut short after a spin on the back stretch that would put him out of the race for the night.The Limited Late Model finish ended:

1) #73 Racing Jason Williams
2) #11 Lavon Sparks
3) #54 Mike Head

4) Scott Duffy not driving his #25 car.

Then it was B-Cadet time and we all know that story so I won't rehash it.

On the pole was #3 Jeff Carter and next to him was #B7 jr of Billy Bright Jr.

plus #31 of Blake Griffin and #47 of Mark Knight plus #83 of Brandon Pijenburg plus driving for Billy Bright Sr. was Tim Bright.

And who could forget #45 of "Ricky Bobby" fame Michael Cesare.

But like I said the order of finish was changed when Billy Bright Jr was found to be illeagal and was "Disqualified".

So the Winner was :

1) #31 Blake Griffin

2) #47 Mark Knight

3) #83 Brandon Pinjenburg

4) Corey Payton a young 15 year old.

The last race of the night was the Crate car race and again #91 Todd Darda would prove he had the car that the one to beat, and no one could. Not even #17 Richie Williams who comes from a long line of racing champions.

Also racing was Trey White who raced on Senoia Speedway when it was asphalt.

But the order of the Crate finish was :

Winning #91 Todd Darda

2) #17 Richie Williams

3) #16 Trey White

The night of racing was over and it was well before 12 midnight, so fans were happy as well as some drivers, everyone was happy except the Brights.

To everyone I want to say THANK YOU for being so kind to me as I deal wi

th the greif of loosing my wife, I know she would have wanted me to continue to film and meet some of the best drivers in motor sports.

OLD FRIENDS I AM BACK WISH ME WELL

My Canon GL-2 is ready to capture all the winning drivers and every bit of action all over the track at New Senoia Raceway this Saturday Night , bring your best cars because I will be there with full gear.

All Featured or captured on DVD's and are available the next weekend, all the hits bangs and passes and crashes are all captured for you to re watch even in the off season.

Getting over losing my wife has been hard, so I had to take a few days off, including a weekend to try and clear my head, but now I am returning to meet my friends who I love and care for, my race fans, and drivers and crews.

One thing I know I love is my friends, who are fans of dirt track racing, plus every driver in every class, those that drive and those that keep the cars running.

Some of these people have stood beside me in my loss, and every day is hard but getting back to filming the races at New Senoia Raceway has been hard, but GOD knows my wife would have wanted me to continue. Please except my apologize for missing 2 weekends in a row, but some times you have to deal with grief, and I chose to stay home and re felt on things that could have been.

This weekend the B-Cadet races will go 30 laps and have extra money on the line, now who can win this big race?. Can Billy Bright Sr, trailing in points to Jeff Carter win, or will Billy Bright Jr. suprise everyone and go through the field driving like only Jr knows how by , passing them all and winning the unexpected race. One thing for sure the "Best of the Best" will be racing at Senoia Raceway for this 30 lap B-Cadet race with everything including bragging rights on the line.

Will points leader Jeff Carter take this 30 lap win, or will his rival in 2nd place in the points lead Billy Bright Sr. choose to make a show of this race.

Or will Michael Cesare #45 in his "Ricky Bobby" B-Cadet car make a outstanding run and win one of this biggest races at New Senoia Raceway?

Just keep your eye on the #45 car, and see what he can do, he will have to battle to the front and that is going to take everything Michael knows how to do, but he is a born winner.

Don't worry Senoia Raceway also features the exciting Hobby car race featuring the points leader #07 Clifton "Hog Head" Moran who has the lead over Rusty Johnson, one of the big dogs in racing. Missing from the action will be #41 Scott Sherrer, who was the man that no one could beat, until this season now he is gun shy?.

Also maybe coming to Senoia this weekend after a long absence is #K1 of Douglasville fame Kip Stanfill. Kip has been missing racing and his car is about back to hit the dirt and if everything works out he will again show his driving style that made him a legend at 7 Flags Speedway the once open and racing capital of Douglasville Georgia.

The Hobby races are always a blast more so when you have drivers like Rusty Johnson, and Hackett and his wild crew, and so many other drivers. If you want action the Hobby race is your cup of tea....or java, or whatever floats your boat.

When its time for the Crate cars to line up, watch out for the new kid on the block, #18 Magic Matt Dooley, the newest up and coming racer on the track. Dooley just 15 can handle a crate car and battle with some of the verterans like no other driver. What will he do next?

The Late Model feature has the Points leader as Lavon Sparks, who is a charger and make no mistake 2nd place is not where he wants to be at the end of a 25 lap race.

Ricky Bobby to the rescue or is it?

A TEAM THAT CAN'T BE BROKEN

Welcome to the world of “Ricky Bobby” or Michael Cesare

How does a wild man from NY live in Georgia, and get to meet with some of the craziest people in the world.

If you have not met Michael Cesare driver and co-owner of B-Cadet car #45 you are missing some real fun.

Driving in the B-Cadet series is a task in itself, meeting drivers is another thing. Some drivers are great and up front with you others are what I call behind your back snakes.
All together most drivers are super and fun to be around, but Michael Cesare is most outstanding.
Anyone that loves Harley's, Good Looking Babes, and Corvettes can’t be all bad at all.
He does have one habit that is kind of crazy and that is being a Minnesota Viking Fan and living in Georgia.
Now he did explain that he grew up in New York, and the Vikings were the winning team so he hooked up with them, as I called them for years and years “The Purple People Eaters” and when I watched them play they played in “COLD WEATHER” with a coach which had a face of steel and that was the great Bud Grant. Teams hated to go into Minnesota because of the crazy cold weather. Then again they hated to play them because of their defense, which would eat people alive.

Why build him up I am NOT and there is no need because once he gets the hang of driving at New Senoia Raceway you will see drastic changes, now he is learning and learning can be a pain. I mean a bumper here a quarter panel there and engine to let go, or maybe a cut down tire. All cost cash but that is what racing is all about, spending cash for a winning car, and loading that winning car back on the trailer in one piece and not in several chunks is priceless.

Then again, he loves Motorcycles, and anyone that rides a chopper is not bad at all, most bikers I know are the best of friends, and that is a plus for Michael even when he cruises the highways of Georgia with his Minnesota logo on the side of his bike.

Michael explained that he is a Charger, Cuda car fan, but his 1969 corvette is a great ride and for sale to the right buyer.
Place a model in front of it and it makes the car look twice as good, makes me want to purchase one just to have sitting around. Since I am single now, who knows who I can find for a date, more so with a “Vette”?

If it is fun you are looking for then hang out with Michael he is a class act. Just don’t run into his car intentionally that cost cash and makes people mad.

Now if you are ready to watch him race, you can see the new and improved “Ricky Bobby” next weekend at New Senoia Raceway in Senoia Georgia, just look for the car that will be trailing everyone in the B-Cadet series, he will be making his move soon to the front, so as long as he keeps his car in one piece he can and will be a force to be reckoned with.
Make sure you look for car #45 you can’t miss it, and if you get a chance to meet him make sure you say hello to this up and coming star driver. Maybe not this season, but he will be a veteran next year and battle with the best of the B-Cadet drivers.

Fun can be found anywhere and at in place in the World, and Michael seems to have the energy to hang with all kinds of folks. Some folks just have it made in life.

Who can get a autograph from a member of KISS, only Michael Cesare, wow!

Here is the way to beat Michael Cesare when racing him, make sure he has not eaten some of the family's food....he works better when well fed.

RAIN OUT FOR ME PLEASE UNDERSTAND

NEW SENOIA RACEWAY, FOR ME A RAIN OUT WASH!

Sometimes, things go great then sometimes things are the PITS.

As was Saturday Night July 2, 2011 was there on that HOT day to film all the exciting racing action and when it got time as the Hobby cars started there feature, DOWN CAME THE RAIN, and that was it for me. I refuse to film in rain. My camera is worth more than a night of racing when it is raining. Some people may not understand that but my only means of making a small living is by having a camera that works, and since I just paid $450 bucks to have the camera realigned due to the swirls of dirt, it is amazing that people would get on my case do to the fact that I packed up early to leave. I know it would be different if I was filming in a building behind glass but that is not the case, I am stuck in the HOT sun and heat filming races from feature to feature.

So even though it started to rain and the race continued I was gone, and that’s the facts of life.
I know how I have been told that I would get some kind of glass to film through, I know how I was told I would get some help, but it seems that no help has come through.

So even as the rain moved out and the racing returned I was not there to film, which cost me money but not enough to have my camera replaced. Remember there is another Saturday coming and I am sure the drivers will be back.

So for all those needing a DVD, I was not there, and that’s life.

Please forgive me if I sound mad, but I know that there are times I have to make a decision and Saturday night was the night I chose.

So again forgive me and I hope you as a driver can understand what went wrong, it’s called rain and water and my camera do not mix.

Michael Cesare, who?

Sometimes in racing you miss those drivers that come to race and are not your big name drivers like the Jeff Carters, Billy Bright Sr’s, or the Jr’s, or even Marcus Caswell.

B-Cadet racing can be exciting, but remember there is always action even in the back of the pack.

That brings me to a driver that was unknown until a few days ago when I met him on of all places Facebook.

He is #45 in the B-Cadet, and his name is Michael Cesare, who was born in New York and after High School made his way to Georgia where he now lives in Newnan, Georgia.

You want to see or meet the man that you would less likely call a race car driver then, Michael is your man.

His car stands out among the rest, and that is good since he is partners with someone else in the car, and they share driving spots.

Saturday June 25^th, 2011 Michael was in the racing seat for the B-Cadet feature at New Senoia Raceway, he lasted and lasted and lasted until off came his quarter panel which is all part of racing.

Racing is exciting but it takes on a new meaning when you have an inexperienced driver, who is racing with some of the best drivers in the south.

Too me Michael does not look the part of a driver, he looks more like a party animal, then again once he is strapped in he is in his own new world.

There will be nights like what happened at Senoia almost every Saturday night, and no matter where he races there will be beating and banging and rubbing and that is called racing, this is not a parade. It is racing with intense fierce rivalries.

End, the best driver wins, he may not have the best looking car, but crossing past that flag stand with the checkered flag flying is more than any driver can ask for.

When will Michael grab his first win of the season at Senoia, or any track? First he will ha

ve to get by some of the best drivers in racing.

It can and will be down, the question is when?

So next time you are at the track and see Michael Cesare and his #45 B-Cadet car shake his hand because he is among the few rare breed drivers that come to have fun and race and if they win, that is the icing on top of the cake.

On the night of June 25th, Michael was caught up in a racing accident and instead of blowing his top, he just looked to the skies and was more or less saying, thanks but can I make it just a few more laps?

One thing for sure is Michael comes to race and if he finishes that makes it worth it, sometimes you have to look at a driver and you see more than they are. Down deep Michael is headed for greatness, may not be in racing but in some way he is proving he is a winner, taking the checkered flag or not, Michael is a born winner. We should have more drivers like him in dirt track racing.

Thank's Michael for being such a class driver and I hope to see you race many more times, and maybe capture that first win.

Where have my BLOG gone, its called depresstion

Winning at New Senoia Raceway is always fun, and you know it brings the best out of folks.

Driver’s come from every part of Georgia plus Alabama, and these drivers come to put on a show for the fans at Senoia.

Limited Late Model drivers like #11 Lavon Sparks who holds the points lead for the season. Then you have drivers like #28 Glenn Morris who has not won a race yet but has been a loyal driver and a fan favorite. Who can leave out #9 Shane Fulcher a driver that has been in a slump but always finishes in 2nd or 3rd place.

In the Crate Car late model race we have seen all kinds of winners, like #91 of Todd Darda, and last weekend on June 25th we were treated to see a 15 year old Matt Dooley prove he could outrun all of the crate drivers, as he led the race after starting on the pole. Not even #89 Russ Ogletree could catch Matt and Russ has been a winner in the crate feature many a time.
But on June 25, 2011 the night belonged to “Magic” Matt Dooley and his #18 crate car, maybe we will see him do it again, it was thrilling.

The night started off strange because they started with the B-Cadet feature, and it proved to be a great race, with plenty of racing action, and lots of beating and banging. Needless to say one of the biggest beating was at the start of the feature and of course it was between #3 Jeff Carter who is leading the points in the B-Cadet races. Also involved was #B7 of Billy Bright Sr. who slid into Carter or vice a versa whoever you talk to. Needless to say the night ended on a “Bright less” night as both of the Bright’s car’s shut down and they had to be moved off the track. That left a banged up car driven by Jeff Carter chasing #75 of Brand Lewis who also knows how to win at Senoia.
So the race ended with Lewis finishing in 1st and Jeff Carter in his banged up race car would finish in 2nd place.
After the Crate car feature, I know people were still talking about the race which Matt Dooley would take his car and let it show it was meant to win. He seemed to own the track, and his car was hooked up as drivers say. I have never seen Matt win but then again I have seen him race many a time, and he was always a driver on the move. Filming his win was something I really wanted to see and you know Matt gave me something I will always remember. Thanks Matt for everything and for being a class act driver and gee you are only 15 what will you be like at 16, or 18 or 21? Thanks for being a winner.

Then it was time for the 30 lap Hobby feature, with drivers like #07 Clifton “Hog Head” Moran plus young gun #01 of young Blant Duke a driver that is always willing to race and race hard and never back down. Also in the feature was a champion in his own right #33 Randy Johnson, when it comes to winning big races that is when Randy Johnson shows up. Late in the race nearing the end of the 30 lap race it was clear Clifton Moran had it made, but beating on his bumper was Blant Duke who tried every way to pass Clifton, but every time he tried to pass Moran would pull away, that just made Johnson beat and bang on Blant Dukes bumper. Johnson was looking for every way to pass Duke, but Duke proved he would not be denied and held on to 2nd place while Clifton Moran took the checkered flag like he has been doing week after week. Finishing 3rd would be Mike Jenkins who avoided a last lap wreck, which would take Johnson out of the race.
All in all, the 30 laps were over and the excitement was overwhelming.
After the race Clifton pulled his car onto the front straight to get interviewed by of all people Chad Harrington since Ted the Voice was out of town and will return this weekend.
The trophy was huge and the win was exciting, and you could see in Moran’s face how excited he was.
In 2nd place was the young gun, Blant Duke who knew he had been in a race, but 2nd is not where he was wanting but it is better than not finishing a race.
Mike Jenkins would finish in 3rd place and that would make his night.
Congratulations to Clifton Moran or better “Hog Head”.

When the pure mini cars pulled onto the track I knew I had a little time left on my tape but I was hoping a praying that there would be no big pile ups in the Pure Mini race.
Well my prayers were answered, and the racing was exciting, with drivers like young #4 Dusty Jones was proving he had a car that could win. But #16 Stephen Hill, who would lead half of the race was getting into it with his friend, Jones, but really they were racing, now there was contact with Gary Parker and an Bobby Arnold who was leading the race and showed how winning was done.
When fans of pure mini races this had to be your race, the only key driver missing from the action was #00 of Matt Black, who chose to race elsewhere.
When the race was over, Bobby Arnold would win and prove he could win at Senoia Raceway.
So far plenty of racing actions please grab your friends, neighbors, and family and also those folks that have never see a dirt track race and believe the only kind of racing is on asphalt like NASCAR.
Let’s turn them onto the best sport in the world Dirt track racing, where it takes talent to win.

Having great times is something you will always have when you attend a dirt track race at New Senoia Raceway.

This weekend, I mean we are about to see some great racing, plus a heck of a demolition derby at the end of the night followed by some great fireworks.

The place to celebrate the 4th of July is at New Senoia Raceway, where there is always something for the family, kids, and elderly race fans.

Who said "Dirt track racing is Fun"?

Sure racing is great when you don't mess up a high priced camera, something that you earn your money from. Sure I enjoy Dirt Track Racing as much as you do, I enjoy the fans the great drivers, the excitement, what I don't like is when my camera was destroyed due to intense DIRT from Hobby to Late Models, I mean take it like this, you drive a race car, you win, you are excited, then again what happens when you car gets tore up. Guess what you have to take it back to the shop and work on it, if you want to race ever again.

Well I was under the same pressure this week, and I took my camera into Atlanta to get a RUSH fix on it so that I could again return and catch some of the greatest racing on DVD.

Remember when you purchase a copy of a DVD of a race you have to remember that you can go back in time and relive the excitement over and over again. You have a part of history in racing to show family, co-worker, friends, and just plain enjoy yourself.

You can also study your driving techniques, and change and reevaluate what you are doing wrong or right.

My video are now gone down to $20.00 for 1 week special, and if I get more orders we could keep it that way or maybe drop it lower to $15.00 dollars, maybe I can make you some deals, we can work something out but if things don't change I will be forced to travel elsewhere for work.

So please help me out at Senoia Raceway, I do my best as my late wife would have wanted me to, but I need some extra help.

All I am asking is that more drivers help me and purchase DVD's of all the features that I shot at the track.

Kids Ride on race cars this Saturday”

You want to make a impression on a young girl or boy, well lets have some family fun, as drivers are asked to drive slowly around the 3/8th New Senoia Raceway, and make sure they have some kind of drapes on their cars so that the children cannot scratch your cars in any way, this is going to be exciting for the kids, just think they will be riding slowly on a safe place on the vehicle and this might just be what it takes to influence a child to become a driver. Kids will choose what cars that they wish to ride on, so it should be interesting from Hobby cars, to B-Cadets, to Crate to Pure Mini to Limited Late Models, just some more fun brought to you by New Senoia Raceway.

It’s just another way of saying “THANKS” to everyone that has been driving at New Senoia Raceway and also gives the family some real “Kodak Moments”.

The Hobby car feature will be having again some great racing, with Points Champion #07 of Clifton “Hog Head” Moran, plus maybe even #41 Scott Sherrer will make the show he was not at the track last week could be to motor trouble, or maybe he wanted to spend some time with his family, who knows I just hope he is back to given “Hog Head” some racing action. These are two of the toughest drivers in this feature, and who could count out “Rambling” Rusty Johnson in his #33 car that won a few weeks back. I won’t even count out young superstar, #01 Blant Duke who could be there then again may be he won’t show, if he does the race is on, because Blant hates 2nd place in any way.

I met up with Cory Hillman at of all places Stevie B’s, and he informed me he was racing at Senoia Raceway, soon, also his famous dad will soon be there, you may still remember him as “Hurricane” Mike Hillman, who drove the asphalt track at Senoia in a late model race car, Hillman comes from a long line of racing families, like Mike’s brother Joe Hillman, and his famous #01J, you may have seen Joe race and if you haven’t you are missing some great racing.

Cory like his dad knows how to drive, one thing I have always thought was Cory’s down fall was his heavy foot, that would push the engine of his car too far, and it would blow. He is a great driver but needs to work on his style.

The next feature at Senoia raceway has been one of the most watched races of the night, due to the drama that has unfolded between, Billy Bright Sr. and Jeff Carter two drivers different in size, but both come from a background of winning ways. Take Billy Bright Sr. a driver that has won many a race at tracks all over the South and knows how to win, even if he is pushed to the limit.

Jeff Carter is the same a winner, and he also has a short temper, but he tries to hold it in, but when he is pushed he pushes back.

Saturday night May 28th, 2011, started the mess, when Carter hit Billy Sr’s car and spun him, which could have been called a racing accident, then again some say it was on purpose. Whatever the case Chad Harrington, not being the flagman was upstairs in the tower, and was not at the flag stand. Now would he have put Carter in the rear if he had thought Jeff did it intentionally?

Then again even Chad is not superman and can’t see everything though I do believe if he would have been in the flag stand he may have made a ruling. I see more than most folks because, I am trained on watching cars to see who is about to get mad and take someone out, but remember sometimes I miss wrecks, it is human. I know I am human, and I have missed some big wrecks, but that is what life is all about. I have been trained to follow the top 5 cars, and also watch for things happing in the back, but at times even I miss spins. I have to kick myself when I come home for not doing an amazing job.

The end of Saturday night’s ended with Billy Bright Sr. winning the 20 lap feature, but that last lap had every eye turned to turn 4 where Billy Bright Jr, had spun and with no place to go Blake Griffin hit Jr in the side of the driver’s door. All I knew was keep the camera rolling and as I closed in, I seen Billy Bright Jr and his head was sideways. I knew it did not look good, it was almost like a NASCAR wreck when someone spins in the middle of the pack, there is no way a car can be missed. Billy was more or less a sitting duck, and Blake had no place to go.
The Bright’s almost pulled off a one two finish, but you have to remember Jr was racing his father for the win, and no Bright wants to finish 2nd place.

Jeff Carter is the same way, always a winner, I first coined him as “The Magic Man” because of his outstanding driving, in one race at West Georgia Speedway he went from the back, through traffic and finished in first place. When I looked back at the tape, I was amazed and said, how could this driver, make such a run, I mean he passed cars high and passed them low, he was incredible.

But Jeff and his family have been racing for years maybe not as long as the Bright’s but they have raced at all kinds of race tracks.

This weekend I have no idea if Blake Griffin will be there, but I am sure if he can make it he will be there racing for the B-Cadet win.
This weekend, the B-Cadet feature will be showing 2 number #3 cars, why I have no idea, but I do know one will be driven by Jeff Carter the 2nd I have no idea who the driver will be.
All I can say is “BE THERE” the drama continues.

Remember, the next feature will be the Crate race and I am sure everyone is familiar with some of that races outstanding drivers like Todd Darda, Russ Ogletree, Tim Bright Jr and more. These crate cars are fast and everyone has a chance of winning the big race.

Plus last weekends winner Doug Stevens driving a car that looks like Late Model driver Racing Jason Williams only the number is different Stevens #77 with Williams #73

When the crate race is over get ready for the Pure Mini class, and these young men come to put on a show every weekend for the fans, drivers like #4 Dusty Jones will be there we hope, #00 Matt Black a winner out of my town of Douglasville, Georgia, then you have the points leader #0 of Dorough Bright known as “The Original”, plus we could never leave out #13 of Gary Parker or #54 of Bo Chambers. Then there is always Rocky Johnson and Joe Stephens, plus add in a few more Mini Stockers and you have a race and a half.

Winning the Pure Mini race was Erik Hogsed who was driving a "LEGAL" #4 car of young Dusty Jones.

Then the crowd stands for the 25 lap race that everyone comes to see, the Limited Late Model races, featuring drivers like #73 Racing Jason William, #99 Rucker Orr, #21 of Little Joe Armistead Jr, also racing in #9 or 29 Shane Fulcher, also add #11 Lavon Sparks add in a few more and you have the most exciting race of the night. Then again, the Hobby is exciting, and the B-Cadet is dramatic, the Crate race flies, and the Pure Mini race is for the young guns, and the Limited late model drivers are those kind that know how to race 25 laps and everyone finish or hope too.

And Again, Jason Williams, would take his 2nd win, and is setting himself up to climb the points leader board.

Please don’t eat prior to coming to New Senoia Raceway because the food is outstanding, plenty of great food to choice from and at a reasonable price for all family members. One thing for sure you will be greeted with a smile, from everyone working behind the counter.

Don’t forget bring your friends, relatives, brothers or sisters or neighbors to New Senoia Raceway. Maybe they have never been to a dirt track. They have stayed home watching NASCAR on TV. They think watching cars go around and around is amazing , but you see they have never seen a dirt track race where racing becomes a skill like none other. When the driver’s race on dirt, it is a challenge and winning is the top of the ice cream at the end of any driver’s night. They make history by winning at the fastest 3/8th oval in Georgia.

Coming up New Senoia Special events will be the long awaited Demolition Derby. Plus other special events, more than you can imagine, so come on bring your families to the best track in Georgia to race on and also a clean and fan friendly track.

West Georgia Speeday! Sunday racing in the HEAT

“West Georgia Speedway, Sunday Dust Bowl and more..”

Sunday afternoon racing at West Georgia Speedway became a real challenge for all the many drivers that came to the historic new race track which is under new management of Jack Mills.

The races at West Georgia Speedway or held every Friday night, but since the holiday was at hand they went to a Sunday race, and the heat in Georgia was incredible, making it impossible to keep the track watered and not dry, as a bone.

But just like everything, the heat was beating down so fast that the track was not able to hold water. Which was a shame because it almost cost #73 Jason Williams a car, as he barreled into turn 3 and was coming out during his qualifying run, he almost lost his ride in the wall at West Georgia Speedway due to the dust.

There were several late model drivers that were on hand to race at West Georgia Speedway before heading to Rome Speedway to race that same night. So damaging a car was not what any of the drivers needed are wanted. Drivers like #11 Lavon Sparks known as the “Phenix City Predator” and he is moving up the point’s leader board at New Senoia Raceway in Senoia Georgia. Then there was #25 Scott Duffy, always a class act race car driver. Duffy, who has had so many wins at West Georgia Speedway plus wins at other tracks, it is impossible to keep track of all of them, amazing.

#73X Richard Davis was also there driving a car that looks almost identical to Jason Williams car, only the number is different.
Stevens also is a winner and won the crate race at Senoia Raceway, this past weekend.

Also racing at West Georgia Speedway was #54 Mike Head who was not driving his car but a friend’s car, trying to get the bugs worked out of it.

But the day belonged to Lavon Sparks who came up from Alabama to race at West Georgia Speedway, and then he would be off to Rome just like Williams, Duffy and other late model drivers.

The Speedway was also packed with hobby cars, and pure mini cars plus what can you say B-Cadet cars.

The B-Cadet race was hot, in more ways than one, put it this way during Hot laps, Billy Bright Sr. and his Son Billy Bright Jr took the track with #3 Jeff Carter, nothing new just hot laps right?

Wrong, I had not started filming when I noticed Billy Bright Sr. gained speed and passed his son’s car and that is when it happened he ran right into Jeff Carter, whose car spun, and out of the car came a heated Carter and the battle was one. Jeff would pull his car into the infield pit area, where some sheet metal work just had to be done, while Billy Bright Sr. had to load his car on his trailer and get it ready to head back home and work on the entire front of his car. Why did this all happen, well it started at New Senoia Raceway last weekend when Jeff Carter got into the back of Billy Bright Sr. who thought Carter did it on purpose, but if it was done on purpose I am sure Chad Harrington the main flagman who was in the tower talking over the race receiver’s would have informed Jeff to go to the back of the field but that did not happen. The video I shot shows the entire racing accident including, the end of the 20 lap feature where Billy Bright Jr spun and was hit directly near the driver’s door by Blake Griffin who had nowhere to go, but into Billy Jr. At that point in the video I had closed the camera into a close up shot of Billy Bright Jr, whose head was laying sideways in the car that was when I became very worried about the driver. He is young and a warrior, but licks that that can take a toll on the human body.

I had not even realized that that was the end of the race, until I looked down and seen Billy Bright Sr. in front of the grandstands, and the Announcer letting Billy have his say. It was then and only then did I know that the battle between Jeff Carter and Billy Bright Sr had reached a new level of impact.

Like I said, racing is racing, but when a driver gets hurt that is not a sport anymore it becomes dangerous. Will this battle rage on, all I know is I hate to see what happens at Senoia this weekend.

One person that was not happy with the whole event was Jack Mills, who gave both drivers a piece of his mind and even during the B-Cadet race at West Georgia Speedway he informed both Billy Bright Jr and Jeff Carter that if anything happened during their race they would be escorted by the County to the local jail and that would be the end of that. As Jack said if you want to wreck each other take it back to New Senoia Raceway. One thing for sure Jack Mills will not tolerate this nonsense at his track.

Needless to say, Billy Jr started the race in his #B7jr car, and took the lead, and was being chased by Jeff Carter, but the laps would run down and Billy Bright Jr would take his 1st win of the 2011 racing season on a Sunday afternoon at Hot West Georgia Speedway.

Jeff Carter would finish 2nd and sitting in the grandstands was Billy Bright Sr. what a race.
Jack Mills has been bringing some great racing action to the Historic race track and giving it more life, the infield is in bad shape, but before long Jack will have that worked out, to where cars can again fill the infield pit area. One thing for sure Jack Mills knows how to run a track, and you listen or you can find the highway home.

One thing for sure this weekend will be something else. Also I was informed by a driver, that really if you look at it all in all, it was a BRIGHT WEEKEND, what that means is simple, Billy Bright Sr. won on Saturday Night at Senoia Raceway and Billy Bright Jr won at West Georgia Speedway on Sunday afternoon. So it may have been HOT but the Bright’s were in full charge, and could this be the start of the winning streak for the Bright’s.

The drama between the Carters and Bright’s has just exploded and who knows when it will end. Drivers are strange, some can be the best that you can meet then at times they turn in to wolves, and you never know what can happen.

As for as West Georgia Speedway’s food, HAND’s DOWN THE BEST IN THE SOUTH, Jack and Mark have been working at making the food tastes like real food and not racetrack junk. So when at “The Burg” or West Georgia Speedway, cruise on into the concession stand for some great Hamburgers, Cheeseburger, Chicken Sandwiches, Fries and Nachos and Cheese, Corn Dogs, and Hot dogs and of course cold drinks of your choice.

All this food served with a smile, something that the concession stand at Senoia Raceway was known for, plus the food is delivered into your hands by people that care.

Jack Mills, “BIG JACK” is back and West Georgia Speedway will be racing every Friday night, hopefully the races will be over before midnight, so people have time to get home and get some rest for Saturday.

Thanks to every driver that came out to West Georgia Speedway on Sunday April 29, 2011 in the HEAT to watch some exciting racing. All we know is West Georgia Speedway is BACK!

I would like to pass along an apology from promoter Jack Mills. Jack acknowledges that there was inadequate preparation and watering done to the track surface prior to Sunday's race. He takes full responsibility for the resultant dust. Further, he assures me, and asks me to pass along a promise to fans and racers that it will never happen again. Jack Mills has been around race tracks for 30 years and has been a driver and knows what needs to be done to upgrade the track to where it is the finest in the South.

His Name is Chad....need I say more...

“HE SAYS IT, THEY DO IT”

I got a rare glimpse of one of racing premier flagman in the South Saturday night prior to the racing action at New Senoia Raceway.

When I film my eyes are always on Flagman Chad Harrington because I know he is like a great orchestra leader, and he makes sure all drivers mind him. There is no special driver on the track, just a lot of drivers who want to win, and without a class act flagman like Harrington it would be a mess.

Drivers would have their way, and that is something Chad does not put up with, as kind as he is on the outside once he is standing on a flag stand he becomes a new man.
Most night he is up in the flag stand with his son Alex who Chad lets flag the lower class races, and that is great experience too, a father teaching his son.

I was privileged to sit in the tower and listen to Chad on a race receiver talking to the visiting flagman, giving him time to work the races under the eye of Chad and what I heard was amazing.

It is so strange while the cars were hot lapping to hear and see Chad talk to the drivers, telling them to run up top to clean up a groove, or even to hear him say “gentleman, work your tires back and forth, always adding a please at the end”.

Very rarely do I have a chance to sit and listen to someone I admire, but Saturday night was my lucky night at New Senoia Raceway.

When I first started filming at New Senoia Raceway, all I knew was the flagman was key to my filming of races, I watch him very intently because when he says one to go, I fade from black to start recording and the race is on, unless I see him throw a yellow, in which, it is my cue to fade the camera after getting the shots I need of the cars that were involved in the wreck.
Once he throws the green again, it is back to filming and it all ends on one of the most dramatic finishes in motor sports. As Chad throws his famous “Double Checkered Flags” and no flagman that I have seen does it better.

Chad is a quiet man, a family man, who loves his family and enjoys his work. When he is with family he is all family first man. When he is working on a flag stand Chad is a new man, and new breed, a rare breed.

Whatever the case, it was amazing just listening to Chad converse with drivers making sure they had their race receiver’s on, and if not they had better before the race started.

He was even giving small details to a driver that had numbers on one side of his car, he told him before he came out for his feature he had better have at least duct tape lettering on the fans side of the car. Small details, but they mean so much and when you have a class race track you expect the drivers to go along with every rule in the book.

One thing for sure I have seen Chad come down off the flag stand and get right in a drivers face and confront them about what they are not doing right, and when you see his hand pointing with a black glove on it, you know he is not happy at all.
To wrap it all up Chad is a flagman that I can admire, and I have seen my share in all the dirt track racing I have done filming some of the best and some of the worst drivers on tracks.
All I know is ever since I lost my wife on April 8th, 2011. Things have not been the same, except for Saturday night racing at New Senoia Raceway, where I believe I was embraced by a true racing community.

I have a young man helping me since I am getting older, and he is just 16, Mason Blair is his name, and a kind young man. While the Spectator races were going on, Chad walked onto the deck where I film in the HOT Georgia sun, and I heard Mason say he was the second best at something, I was concentrating on the race. But that is when I heard Chad give Mason some words of wisdom that could and only would come from Chad, he said to young Mason, “Never say your second best”, always try and be the best”.

Now this was coming from someone I admire and if you notice in some of the photos on this BLOG you will see the gently side of Chad Harrington that drivers rarely see.

All I can say it is a honor for me to sit and listen to Chad as he was talking to the drivers with so much respect, it was like a different world. It was a world that I have never entered into before, because I never knew much regarding race receivers. To me it was amazing, I mean there you had some of the biggest names in racing and Chad was chattering away in their ear and whatever he said they did.

Can you imagine, having the nerve to come down and talk to drivers like #54 Mike Head, #73 Jason Williams, #9 Shane Fulcher, #99 Rucker Orr, #21 Joe Armistead Jr, and so on, and these are drivers just in the Limited Late Model race. I have not even talked about the Hobby, or B-Cadet drivers or the Crate drivers.

All I can say is Chad has his hands full every Saturday night, the action is worth watching, the race and but please keep an eye on Chad Harrington, as he directs traffic like no one else.
I want to personally thank Chad Harrington for the rare insight of dirt track racing that I have never known before, I may be 61 but who says you can learn something new every time you or at a race track?

Too all the great racing fans in Georgia, please come out to New Senoia Raceway and catch some of the best drivers in Georgia and Alabama. Oh and keep an eye out for the young and talented flag man Chad Harrington. You will be amazed at how he handles the drivers and flags the race.

NEW SENOIA RACEWAY, “WHATS UP”, COME ON MAKE MY DAY!

Tony and Tim Moses have been putting together some great shows at New Senoia Raceway, but the fans have spoken that they would like to see more local features with maybe some extra money on the line.

Yes we know the Outlaw Sprint Cars will be back in August and we can deal with that, but gone are the touring Crate car series at least for the rest of 2011.

Back will be some special events for fans and families and children, so you can look forward to some exciting events.
How about today’s 1st Spectator Drag race around 3/8th mile Senoia Raceway with some street legal cars, all drivers who win advance to the final round and will be crowned the 2011 Spectator Driver and Champion for the 2011 racing season. This is going to be good, I mean real good, and the fans will really have a great time watching each car advance. So be ready to pick your driver and car, and see if he can make it through the 8 tries around.
Also coming up is the famous “Demolition Derby” last season it was front wheel drive vehicles this season, let’s get a little crazy and have a minivan demolition derby, that’s right mini vans.
This has always been a fan favorite event, and only New Senoia Raceway knows how to handle events of this magnitude.
Later I am sure we will see the famous “Watermelon eating contest” that makes everyone hungry and happy.
This is also the night of the famous Senoia Raceway “Fireworks Show”.
All in all racing at New Senoia Raceway, are going to be more exciting and a lot more demanding on the drivers, because drivers who race at Senoia are not 2nd place drivers they are all fighting for the win every race night. 2nd place is nice but not what they come after, just ask #41 Scott Sherrer, who blazed the way in the Hobby feature last season, it is just this season he is up against some great drivers.

Like #07 Clifton “Hog Head” Moran, then you have #01 of young Blant Duke, plus #33 of “Rambling” Rusty Johnson. Also when he is racing is none other than #K1 of Kip Stanfill, who has been out for a while do to being run into with of all people #87 Pappy Powell.
The list of drivers goes on and on, because Senoia Raceway is known for setting history and making drivers great.

And if the fans don’t like the Hobby feature, wait we have the famous B-Cadet feature which features some of the most outstanding drivers in the South. Drivers like #B7 Billy Bright Sr. known as “The Legend”, his son, Billy Bright Jr. in the #B7Jr car, always a huge threat in any race. Then you have the current point’s leader, #3 of Jeff Carter who has had the car to beat so far this young year.
But B-Cadet racing has become more intense as extra drivers have been really showing that they also can be winners. Rumor has it, in a few weeks the sometime driver of the Pure Mini #4 car which belongs to Dusty Jones will be racing in the B-Cadet feature and he is none other than Erik Hogsed, a well-liked driver who can drive with the best of the drivers. So fans please be ready for some exciting B-Cadet features and these races will never let you down in any way.

When the Crate cars appear on the track for their feature you never know who can and will win this exciting race, drivers like #T7jr of Tim Bright is itching for a win, or even a 2nd place finish. Then you have #M96 of young Marty Lunsford, who is young but has the talent to run with some of the best drivers in this feature.
Drivers like #91 of Todd Darda, can leave their mark on the track, Darda has been a winner of many a Crate feature. But that does mean he cannot be beaten, just let him slip up and who knows you may see Tim Bright or Marty Lunsford taking the win.

After the Crate feature, let’s get ready for the hardest working drivers at the track, those Pure Mini drivers, who work all week, just to get their 4 cylinder cars ready to race.

Drivers like #00 of Matt Black from Douglasville, Georgia, also racing are #0 of Dorough Bright known as “The Original”, plus a driver that never fix’s his car same dents as always, #13 of Gary Parker. We know that #4 Dusty Jones has been disqualified from racing for 1 more week, but his car will be driven this Saturday night by Erik Hogsed, and believe me when I tell you if he wins it is because his car is legal all the way. They changed all the wrong parts and installed all the right parts, so if the #4 wins it is because it is the driver and the car. One driver that was involved in a wreck on the back stretch was #54 Norman Chambers. I have no idea if his car will be ready after last weekend’s wreck.

Then after you have raided the concession stand for some great food and drinks you can get ready to watch some of the greatest Limited Late Model Drivers in Georgia.
Drivers like, #9 Shane Fulcher, plus a winner from 2 weeks back #73 “Racing” Jason Williams, and we might see #21 of Little Joe Armistead Jr. who we have been missing. Don’t worry #99 Rucker Orr will return he is always a driver that fans either love or hate, he is more or less the bad boy in racing.
One thing about the Late Models is you never know who is going to win, all 25 laps are fast and furious and when the dust settles, and Chad Harrington has thrown the “Double Checkered” Flags you know you have seen a race and seen some true winners on this fast track.

My racing partner, my wife, has departed into the skies in Heaven and I miss her reading my blogs and proof reading them for me for all my mistakes, she was my prayer warrior, and believed in me in everything I did, I miss her so much, more and more I go on because that is what she would have wanted but there are times I want to just quit.
I am asking for your help and prayers, please if you can purchase a DVD because that money is set back to help pay off some of the funeral expenses and there is plenty that needs to be paid off, please help me in any way you can. Please I am asking you as a friend and a writer who loves Dirt Track racing.

YES IT'S TRUE, THE RACING ACTION IS BACK, GREAT RACING ACTION, FROM THE HOBBY CARS, AND B-CADET CARS TO THE CRATE LOCAL CARS, AND THE PURE MINI CLASS, AND THEN THE LIMITED LATE MODELS, OUR FRIENDS, AND FAN FAVORITES.

Fans can be ready for another show down between the #3 car of Jeff Carter who is now the points leader at New Senoia Raceway. Carter and the BRC racing team who has not captured a feature win this entire 2011 racing season at Senoia, for some reason

Billy Bright Sr. known as "The Legend" or his son Billy Bright Jr known as "The Hotshot" have been the two thorns in Carters side. You know one more person I am leaving out is none other than Marcus Caswell who can be a force to be dealt with when his car is right.

When the B-Cadet car's come onto the track the fans and everyone knows that the show will be "BIG" these men come to race and come to win, that is all that they want and need to do.

If the B-Cadet feature is not your race, well the HOBBY car feature has to be one of the best races in Georgia, drivers like #07 Clifton "Hog Head" Moran who is now the points leader has been winning and putting on a show. Then again he is racing against some of the best drivers in the Hobby races. Take Scott Sherrer #41 a true champion and great person on and off the track. Scott always comes to win, and winning has been coming not as many as in past years. He is always in the hunt but these season he has had his hands full with drivers like Moran and young Blant Duke from Whitesburg Georgia in his #01 car.

Then you have last weeks winner, #33 Rusty Johnson, a fan favorite and a driver that has gone through so much in life, he is getting older and the wrecks he has been in is taking there toil on his frail body. The track may look smooth but when drivers are racing they are being beat up in more ways than one.

When the Hobby feature is over it is time for the local Crate Cars to run their races, and these men go at it full time and with all their hearts. Drivers like #T7 Jr of Tim Bright Jr has the car just needs the proper seat time so he can run with these big guys. Also I am hoping to see young star #M96 Marty Lunsford back to racing again, he was missed last weekend. Marty is learning and learning is what it's all about in this demanding sport. I am really not sure who will show up for the Crate race, maybe Todd Darda, maybe Matthew Turner, then again we may see some Alabama gang show up and when they come there is a race and a half.

After the dust has settled, bring on those drivers that think they are racing with the big league drivers and I am speaking about the Pure Mini feature.

This feature is growing but winning can be tough, when you have drivers like #00 Matt Black , #0 Dorough Bright known as "The Original". Then you always have #13 of Gary Parker, and maybe even #54 of Bo Chambers, not to mention the driver that was disqualified last weekend #4 Dusty Jones, and maybe if we all stand up and cheer we can get #16 Stephen Hill to return to race, he has been absent and is a well known presence when he is racing.

And who could leave out #J17 of Joe Spencer or Old faithful Rocky Johnson, who is a mess but a class act person.

After their feature lets all stand up because it's time for the Limited Late Models to run, and the drivers are magnificent. Drivers like #73 Racing Jason Williams, #99 Rucker Orr, #9 of Shane Fulcher, #21 of Little Joe Armstead Jr, plus so many other drivers that make up a great field of racing action.

For pure excitement this 25 lap race is the fastest of the night and when Chad Harrington waves the "Double Checkered Flags" you know you have a true winner. Who will it be , this weekend at New Senoia Raceway?.

Don't forget Spectator drag races will be held so get ready for a event that everyone will be talking about, 8 street legal cars, 8 crazy drivers, all willing to race their car from a dead stop at the start finish line all the way around the 3/8th track to see who advances to the final and becomes the 1st 2011 Spectator Champion, and will their car be in one piece at the end?.

Come see what happens, this is going to be fun......and I like fun.

Please remember, the food at New Senoia Raceway is worth the drive and eating, plenty of great food, from Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, to Hot Dogs, to Chicken Sandwich's, plus Corn dogs and Nacho's and Cheese and the famous Senoia Raceway fries just like you want them. And remember on hot days, the Track has all your favorite beverages, cold to hot, so make sure you don't stop and eat on the way as the food is too good and at a price everyone can handle.

NeSmith 50 lap race plus Super B-Cadet and Hobby races and more

50 LAPS OF PURE EXCITEMENT WITH ONE WINNER, DAN BREUER AND HIS #B7 TOOK HOME THE $2500 CASH MONEY AND PRIZES AND TROPHY.

The same race team from Mount Airy, N.C. showed how crate racing was done, as Steve Cooke set the fast time for the NeSmith Crate Late Model race of 50 laps of pure horsepower.

Chase Edge started along side Cooke, this young blond talented 18 year old driver just one week ago came to Senoia and won the Crate race tuning his car up for the big race of the night.

When Chad Harrington dropped the green flag, it was all racing with no pile ups in turn 1 or turn 2 everyone made it through, Cooke had the lead with Chase Edge following him but in turn 2 Dan Breuer got around Chase in turn 2 and his sights were set on his teammate Steve Cooke.

Once Breuer was past Cooke they worked together like a fine oiled machine, the way and every other Crate car falling in behind. What was amazing to me was that I had earlier spoken and taken some photos of their cars waiting on the outside of the track and the two drivers were as down to earth as could be. As a matter of fact one driver commented that his car was not the winning car, it would be Breuer's car, I laughed and said "Don't think that way, but after speaking to Dan I told him if he could make it through turn 1 then he would make it all the way, never did I realize these two cars would finish 1 and 2 and take home the win.

Young Chase Edge would finish his #18 car in 3rd place not bad because he is only 18 and a High-School graduate, and was racing against some of the best drivers in Georgia and 6 other States from Mississippi, to Tennessee, to North Carolina and parts elsewhere.

You have to remember, there were other outstanding drivers like Jason Williams a late model driver who was driving #16 Trey Whites car, then there was the always talented #27 of Doug Ludwig, from Griffin Georgia, but fate would night ride with Doug on this night as half way through the race he would break a shock and have to pull off the track, thus giving him a chance at the $2500 cash.

Finishing in 4th place was David Gentry and fourth went to fellow Tennessean Jake Teague who would finish the night in 5th place.

When Chad Harrington was waving the "Double Checkered Flags" it would be over Dan Breuer and his teammate Steve Cooke.

The fans at Senoia got their moneys worth of pure excitement, and saw some of the most talented drivers in several states race for some big cash money.

Racing were drivers like, super star drivers like Oliver Gentry, Racing Jason Williams, Chase Edge and Todd Darda, plus Matthew Turner, the race went all 50 laps and only 2 cautions without a major wreck, these men came to race and win. These men also showed the side that they wanted to show. Fans paid extra to come in and see such a fantastic show at New Senoia Raceway, and Tony and Tim Moses and their staff have been bringing in some great shows.

THE NEWNAN BONDING

The start of the night featured the fantastic B-Cadet Cars in a winner take all race, I mean these men came to race and WIN.

This night would be no different, Jeff Carter in his famous #3 took to the track, but also in the race were the famous Bright Racing Team featuring Billy Bright Sr. and Billy Bright Jr. plus a great driver in the #7 of Alabama's Chris Arnett, who led most of the race, only to have his car go south on him, thus letting Jeff Carter take the lead but you have to remember the Brights were following him close and rubbing Carter ever chance that they got.

Carter, the BIG MAN from Stockbridge Georgia, known by this writer as "The Magic Man" and known by others as "Cheeseburger", maybe because of his huge size, what ever you may know him as "Winner" is what suits him better. Carter not only got the huge applause from the huge crowd after the race he has become the B-Cadet leader in points and that is big in its self.

Several times Carter was being closed in on by Billy Bright Jr and also Sr. but Carter would out motor the BRT racing team.

When the race was over, Carter was asked to tear his car down by the Brights in which he did, and when the night was over Carter was declared the winner and he took the winning money plus the money from the Brights who protested his car. They dug late into the night looking for something that could never be found. He was legal, because Jeff Carter has been running a stock
hobby motor, nothing fancy just a great car and a good driver.

The end of the 20 lap feature brought out the applause from the huge crowd who knew that they had watched a classic race. Also winning meant that Jeff Carter was now the B-Cadet points leader taking over for Jay Conner.

I will add this comment and it is personal, so please do not take it wrong, I have several drivers that are my friends, and I want to keep it that way but as long as I have been following Jeff Carter and his racing family , I have never known them to put some car on the track that was illegal in any way. he is just the "Buddy Baker" of racing, hard nosed, and fast.

Jeff Carter and his family would like to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Keven Horton and son for helping in the complete TEAR DOWN of Jeff's motor, and for all that care his motor is back in and waiting to race at Senoia this weekend, the drama continues, can you wait, I can't?

The Summit Racing Equipment Hobby Stock Feature would be just what it has become a true fan favorite.

Racing would again be #41 Scott Sherrer who has been having problems plus #07 of Clifton Moran and Whitesburg "SuperStar" #01 of young Blant Duke.

But this night would belong to #33 of Rusty Johnson, who has raced with the best and his has had his share of pain in wrecks, and when he was exiting his car after taking the checkered flag when I focused my camera close you could see this great driver in pain, trying to climb from out side his car, several times pounding on the steering wheel in pain. He limped over to get the interview and it was very noticeable that Rusty is getting what is name implies "Rusty" and his bones are not working like they did in his younger days, but that can be said for us folks growing older every day. There were so many times "Hog Head" Clifton Moran tried to pass Rusty and Clifton was racing his heart out, only to have Johnson shut the door on him, blocking him every chance he could get.

When the race came to a end Rusty Johnson would take his first win , and coming in 2nd was Clifton Moran, in 3rd place finished Newnan's Andy Spradlin, and finishing in 4th would be long time champion #41 Scott Sherrer.

When Rusty was interviewed at the end of the race he told track announcer Mr.Ted, that "He did not know if he would be able to hold Moran off, but was happy his car did all the work".

In the Pure Mini race we had another upset again, Driver Dusty Jones was not allowed to drive because one week ago he refused to tear his car down, so he was Disqualified from winning last weekends race, but he returned to Senoia only to have his car driven by always a pure winner Erik Hogsed, Dusty did not drive.

After a protest to check Dusty Jones car he was found to be illegal and his car was disqualified thus taking the win from Erik Hogsed who had won driving the #4 car, all the drivers had been complaining that Jones car was NOT LEGAL, and sure enough in post race inspections where his car was gone over with a fine tooth brush he was found not to be legal.

That should end the controversy in the Dusty Jones Story, the saying is if you bring a car to the track, make sure it is legal, and not illegal.

So Whitesburg own Dorough Bright would finsh first, coming in 2nd place was Barnesville's Gary Parker, and finishing in 3rd place would be Senoia's Robbie Scadron with Douglasvilles #00 Matt Black taking 4th place somewhere where this young man is not used to finishing. Rounding the finish out and finishing in 5th place was Joe Spencer.

New Senoia Raceway cranks back up with a full show this Saturday night, when the Limited Late Models return to action, and it is always great to see these drivers, like "Racing Jason Williams" , "Shane Fulcher", "Rucker Orr", maybe "Little Joe Armstead Jr", and who knows who else will make the show.

The Hobby cars will return to action with I am sure a new and improved Scott Sherrer wanting to taste the win again, losing is not Scott's best ascet. Back will be Carrolton's own Clifton "Hog Head" Moran, and I am sure we could see Rusty Johnson back, maybe even Blant Duke.

We will not see #K1 of talented driver Kip Stanfill, who is taking some time off and away from racing, why all I hear is his car is not fixed and it does not look good at all for him.

The B-Cadet feature will return , having all drivers eyes set on #3 Jeff Carter who has become the man to beat, "Cheeseburger" as Mike Head nick named him, but to me he will always be the "Magic Man".

No matter what you call him I am sure the Bright Racing Team will be back and they will have their "A" game plan, losing is something that they are not used to doing, and winning is something they have not done so far this season. Do you think they are waiting for "HOT WEATHER"?

The Crate cars will return, minus some of the big names just the regular feature drivers.
Even maybe #M96 of young Marty Lundsford will return.

We all know the Pure Mini's will be back, and I wonder what will happen to Dusty Jones, plus I really wonder if Douglasville's own Matt Black could have his car ready to race and get all the bugs out. Will Stephen Hill show? Great question who knows?.

We know Gary Parker will return as will Dorough Bright. You might even see , Rocky Johnson make the show. Who ever shows up, the fans will see a exciting Pure Mini classic show and always a great feature.

When they are done bring on the Limited Late Models, and lets see who can win after a week off from the track who will be ready to win, what driver will have that burning fire and desire to win and walk off the winner at New Senoia Raceway.

The evening will close with somewhere in between one of the finest crowd pleasers of all a true Spectator Drag race, around the 3/8th oval track one time, the winner advances to round two and so on, untill you have a Specator street legal car. No cost to enter the race BUT there will be a limit to the first eight cars to sign up. So bring your car, and see if you can win some big bucks and have a great time.

PLEASE REMEMBER THE GATES OPEN AT 5:00 P.M. WITH GRANDSTAND GATES OPEN AT 6:00 P.M. Hot Laps begin at 7 P.M. with the green flag dropping at 8:00 P.M. so bring your friends and come and enjoy a full night of racing.

Also make sure you try all the food from the concesstion stand, from the best hamburgers, to cheeseburgers, to chicken sandwitchs and also fries hot dogs, corn dogs, nacho's and chips and cheese and jalepeno's. Plus wash it down with some great drinks, cold and hot, no matter Senoia has what you need.

The Staff is outstanding and there to help you in every way, so bring some friends and turn them on to Dirt Track Racing Southern Style.

LISA AND HER 2ND FAVORITE DRIVER,

#17 Marcus Casswell who drives the heck out of his B-Cadet car at New Senoia Raceway, and has won his last race when Billy Bright Sr. had a illegal engine.

Her main driver is B-Cadet winner # 3 "Big" Jeff Carter her long time husband, who treats her like a queen. Carter has driven at West Georgia Speedway plus taken wins at New Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia.

Jeff started in Hobby and moved up to B-Cadet and no telling where he is headed next, one thing for sure Jeff has a good wife that keeps on cooking for this big man.

In this photo it shows Jeff's old car winning at Historic West Georgia Speedway.

Jeff is a no nonsense driver, and takes his driving to a extreme. When he is focused he can be unbeatable when he is not focused he can be beaten and as a family man I am sure he hears it from his lead cheer leader, his wife Lisa Carter.

When ever you go to a short track dirt track you could see #3 Jeff Carter and his entire family who love racing and racing season.

Now when you think about winning, Carter and his crew would crash the nearest Waffe House and big time eating was on, nothing makes a driver happer than winning and then eating.

Since I lost my wife after 23 years, Lisa has been giving me some cooking tips, some ideas some rare things that I could make and not take forever. What is strange is that when my wife was with me, I did all the cooking and she never complained NOW that she is gone, I am really not wanting to eat or even make anything, it's just not the same eating alone in a world that was once filled with joy.

One thing for sure is that the Carters, are a fun bunch, and I know that some don't like them but I believe you have to get to know them, racing is racing, what happens on the track should stay on the track and not exculate into a war of words, on the track are on facebook.

Winning is something Jeff does best when he has the right car and it is set up proper but every night is a different night, and when drivers get together and cut tires are just spin out it is something that can happen each and every Saturday night.

One thing for sure this is what makes racing the best sport to watch, because you never know who has the hot car on any given Saturday night in Georgia.

Lisa, has always been a blessing to my wife and myself, she has always been my friend and she has gotten me through some really rough nights where I did not want to live on. So again THANK you Lisa, and Jeff and your entire family.

BIG TIME RACING COMES TO SENOIA

BRING IT ON, SPEED AND GREAT AMERICAN DRIVERS COME TO NEW SENOIA RACEWAY AND WILL GIVE THE EAGER FANS SOME REAL RACING EXCITEMENT.
The Hobby Stock race again featured the blazing #41 Scott Sherrer and his rival #07 Clifton Moran, also racing was #K1 Kip Stanfill who was knocked out early when he and Pappy Powell who is 87 got tangeled up.

Also racing was #33 of Rusty Johnson and #01 of Blant Duke, add some extra cars and you are in for a racing treat.

Taking the win, again was Clifford Moran, in his #07 blue and white car.

If the Hobby Stock is not the race to watch for you, then hang loose the B-Cadet men go to town, racing has never been the same, drivers like “The Legend” Billy Bright Sr. and his son “The Hot Shot” Billy Bright Jr. race alongside of drivers like #3 Jeff Carter and #17 Marcus Caswell, add in some extra B-Cadet cars and you have a heck of a B-Cadet race.

The B-Cadet race was amazing, with so many cars bumping and banging, one car that took a beating was that of #3 Jeff Carter who got mixed up or tangled up with #GT47 of Thomas Phillips. In the same race, Billy Bright Jr. would let another engine let go. What is up with the Bright engines, they are always so faithful, now they are letting go. Something is not right in “Brightsville”, but with enough hands working they should have their car engines back to normal and winning some big races.

As for as Thomas Phillips he was all over and got into Jeff Carters car, when Jeff did make it around he spun and pulled into the pit area, not changing a tire, just making his way back on to the track where the announcer said he would be penalized for “speeding through the infield”.

Once back onto the track, he spun in turn 2 and that was Carters night as the wrecker brought the hook to his car, and once the fans in the stands seen he was unable to continue a huge cheer erupted from the grandstand crowd.
There is something’s I hate and that is seeing a driver in a wreck of any kind and also see and hearing a driver who has crashed cheered for because he was out of a race. Drivers have feeling also and Saturday night looked like it belonged to Billy Bright Sr

When “The Legend” took the checkered flag, everyone believed that Sr. had won the race, he even dedicated the race to my late wife, who I know was watching from above in Heaven, BUT and that is a BIG WORD, later it was found out that Billy Bright Sr. would be stripped of his win and Disqualified after Marcus Caswell protested his engine and had him tear it down, after being found illegal Marcus Caswell became the Saturday May 14th 2011 B-Cadet Winner at New Senoia Raceway.
This would place Brand Lewis in his #75 finishing 2nd place
Thomas Phillips finished in 3rd place.

That ended the beating and banging in the hot B-Cadet race, until next Saturday Night ]

After the B-Cadets it was time to bring on the Crate Late Models, which featured some of the most outstanding drivers in Southern Crate Car racing. Drivers like “The Zero Hero” Craig Scott, “The Phenix City Punisher” Russ Ogletree, Layette Alabama’s young star #18 Chase Edge, plus #03 Oliver Gentry running his Crate car who is always a winner. Then there was #27 Doug Ludwig and #17 of Richie Williams, and #T7jr of Tim Bright from Waco, Georgia. Then you had the young 14 year old of #M96 of young Marty Lunsford who is trying so hard to race with these Big Dogs.

But the night would belong to Chase Edge who is only 18 years old and drives like he has been driving for years. Giving him a run for the money was #0 Craig Scott who posted a qualifying record of 14.975 giving him the outside pole. Also trying to get his car ready for the huge $2500 40 lap feature coming up on May 21st, 2011 Nesmith Crate Car tour. Put it this way these Crate Car drivers were testing the track for the BIG MONEY race next Saturday Night at New Senoia Raceway.
Chase Edge was showing why this young blonde headed young man has so much talent and has what it takes to win every kind of race. Russ Ogletree would prove his car had the stuff become a huge winner.
One thing for sure Russ has what it takes to win and winning is something he has proved he can do at any time. But hang in there Craig Scott the “Zero Hero” has also what it takes to win and this huge race can really help Craig out, $2500 dollars is not chicken feed, it’s a real sit down dinner and a real bill payer for every driver.
This Crate feature will be bringing in some of the biggest names in racing, and fans will come from everywhere for this 40 lap feature race that looks like it will be amazing to watch. I was listening to a driver in the Crate division and he stated to me that he would hang back when the green flag dropped because everyone was going to try and make it around turn 1 and into turn 2 like it was the finish of the race, so instead of getting caught up in the mess they would hang bang let the wrecks happen if it did and go from there.
So fans please try and come there early because this should be the real show for the 2011 season at Senoia Raceway.
So since the Crate cars race was over and #18 Chase Edge blew everyone away even when challenged by Craig Scott, the race was amazing. It was also great to hear what we could of the interview with young Chase Edge.

When the Crates pulled off the track it was time for the young Pure Mini drivers, like #00 Matt Black who had won 2 races in a row, and had the lead in points. Also making the show was #54 of Bo Chambers whose car went up in a blaze last weekend. Bo was back and looking great, also racing was #4 of Dusty Jones, whose was back again, and after he was thought to have won. He refused to tear his car down and was disqualified this was a shame.
This would give the win to Dorough Bright known as “The Original”, with Stephen Hill #16 finished in 2nd place.
3rd place finished John Caldwell, and Matt Black finishing in 4th.
Who will win the Pure Mini race Next weekend?

Then it was time for the feature Late Model Show, which featured Little Joe Armistead #21 back again, plus #99 Rucker Orr who was disqualified last weekend after he thought he pulled off a win. Also racing was #32 of legendary driver “Cowboy” Paul Holloway, who made the race.
Plus all-time favorite #11 Lavon Sparks and #9 of Shane Fulcher who has been racing and finishing in 3rd place almost every night.
Shane needs to make a break out and win the big race. Then there was #73 of “Racing” Jason Williams who apologized to the huge crowd that he was sorry for not running his “A” Car but he has had so much to deal with having a sick child. Now the child is well and Jason came to race and Win something Williams does best.
When FLAG dropped it When the green as again #99 Rucker Orr spinning and causing a 4 car pileup, which almost took out #11 Levon Sparks. Anytime you have Sparks and Orr are on the track there is somewhat of a friction problem.

Once the race was restarted and Chad Harrington was throwing the green flag, it was Jason Williams out front and also Levon Sparks chasing him down. In third place was Shane Fulcher who again was showing his stuff. Finishing 4th place was all time favorite Glenn Morris, and in 5th place was Paul Holloway.

But at the end Chad Harrington was throwing his famous Double Checkered flags and crossing to win as #73 Racing Jason Williams. Who has been a fan favorite for years, who is also a Class Act driver.

IMPORTANT NOTICE PLEASE READ: This writer made a mistake which is HUMAN, I wrote in this BLOG the pay would be the same as NEW SENOIA RACEWAY, that was MY ERROR.

The Payout will be made by Jack Mills, and it will deal with CAR COUNT and FANS, there is so much WORK that has to be down, but I would like all drivers to know there will be NO PAY CUTS. Please be advised this notice comes from Jack Mills, so to error is human, please forgive my MISTAKE. What ever the pay is you will be racing at the finest track in Georgia. Historic West Georgia Speedway with a new and positive outlook.

WEST GEORGIA SPEEDWAY RETURNS TO THE GLORY DAYS OF RACING

NEWS from the BIG DOG himself none other than one time promoter/driver “Big Jack” Mills will be running West Georgia Speedway this time Jack will have his hands in everything that goes on at the track. “Historic” West Georgia Speedway will return for pure powerful racing starting May 20th, 2011. That’s right FRIDAY NIGHT RACING WILL BE BACK AT THE “BURGH”. One thing for sure is the track is in great shape like always, but the catch is that every piece of anything that had been used to cook with IS GONE, New clean stuff is now being installed, and the food will be the best again, maybe topping Senoia and that is a stretch, because it was Jack’s son in law that turned that concession stand around to where everyone was ready to eat and not be afraid of what they were eating. Also gone will be the “football scoreboard” that Sammy Duke promised to have working, and Jack is having a real racing Scoreboard placed up and will be working.

Drivers in every division are asked to attend Friday May 13th, 2011 for some sincere talks and practice at the track. Jack wants all drivers to attend so that he does not have to change any of the rules at West Georgia Speedway, also drivers can look forward to being PAID the correct amount just as they do at New Senoia Raceway. No more cutting of the pay, it’s you race, you finish you get PAID, enough said.

You may not see BIG Jeff Carter race at WGS on Friday, but you never know what the "Magic Man" has up his sleeve, he may have some one bring his car on Friday night, and he will be there in time for the race and he could win at West Georgia Speedway and Win at New Senoia Raceway Saturday night.

His wife "55 Coke" Lisa Carter would be smiling like she is in this early photo taken at WGS.

Modified Mini drivers welcome BACK, Hobby welcome back, B-Cadet Welcome back, Pure Mini Welcome BACK, and really we have no idea if Jack plans on running sportsman or crate at this time, but will know soon what is happening there.

Welcome back #M4 of the "Purple People Eater" Winford Minix, who races like he stoled it

I filmed at West Georgia Speedway in years past and have seen some of the greatest dirt track races, and then again I have seen some real run away races. The track as I call it known as “The Burgh” has a really Historic race feel, and Jack Mills plans on giving this sleeping giant some energy again, and let everyone know what real dirt track racing is about.

Children learn to change racing tires and make sure the lug nuts are on tight before they learn their ABC's , it's all apart of Dirt Track Racing Southern Style.

Being Open on Friday night will not interfere with the races at New Senoia Raceway at all in any way, in fact it will give drivers a chance to win at West Georgia Speedway on Friday nights and Win at New Senoia Raceway on Saturday nights. So to be honest it’s a WIN, WIN, all around situation.

One thing for sure is Jack Mills and his fine staff will be giving the racing fans just what that have been asking for, racing at its best every Friday night.

So many of the staff are willing and eager to come back at a pay cut, just to be part of this winning track, and we all have faith and trust that West Georgia Speedway will rise from the ashes of the dump back to the top, a place where it should have been years ago.

Everything is point to the good features of this track, and drivers in every class know that the track is superb. It was run wrong for years but now we have the right BLOOD in Mills and his staff working and this will become the premier race track in Georgia.

One thing for sure is West Georgia Speedway takes no prisoners, it is historic, and if the walls could talk what the heck would we be hearing, and how many times has a driver went on to win there, and become a hero.

Drivers like Frank Long, Allen Brewster, and so many modified mini drivers, then those Hobby car drivers
Take B-Cadets and you had Jeff Carter, Marcus Caswell, and any of the Bright’s, the list goes on and on and on.

Old Faithful, Rockie Johnson is always racing when he can.

Then bring on those faithful pure mini cars, like Rocky Johnson, Matt Black, Dusty Jones, Stephen Hill, and Bo Chambers and you had a field and more. I know I am leaving out lots of names of drivers and you have to forgive me because on May 8th I turned 61 years old and this old brain does not work as good as it once did.

If the Sportsman come back, we could see Scott Duffy, Jason Williams, and who knows maybe Rucker Orr, he may show then again he likes Senoia Raceway so that could give the wins to other premier drivers.

I am sure we will see the street stocks return, and if that is the case we could see #87 of Pappy Powell, plus #4 of Michael Nelms. Plus more, but my filming stops after the Sportsman race because of no sales to Bomber cars ever. NO need to waste my time or film, it just business not personal.

Please come by West Georgia Speedway Friday May 13th 2011 and lets all talk to the new owner Jack Mills, and if you have a problem AIR it out before the season starts because once the rules are set that is the way the track will be run, no driver becomes special or has special treatment in any way.

One thing for sure is YOU WILL GET PAID the correct amount at the end of the race night and there will be NO CUTS in pay. Jack and his staff are going by New Senoia Raceways PAY, so what you get at Senoia is yours also.

As a writer and someone that has lost his wife I am asking you to give Jack Mills and West Georgia Speedway a chance to come back from the ashes and put this “Historic” track back on the map again.

You will also hear commercials regarding the track on a local radio station, which has NEVER been done before.

The track is ready, now all we need is the fans and drivers to come back and give West Georgia a chance to come back to real racing action.

To everyone I want to thank you from my heart because when I lost my wife on April 8th, 2011 she also backed me in everything I wanted to do. There were so many times I hated to leave her at home on Saturday nights to film, but she knew the money was put back to pay her doctor’s visits and everything else the money I earned also bought food to take care of her, so every time you purchased a DVD you were in fact helping her. Now I am using every dollar I get to pay off the funeral bill and make sure that is all taken care of.

She always wanted to come to the races one night, but was so afraid because of her health, now she is with me at all times as I am wearing her wedding band on my small finger, as a reminder of how good she was to me in every way. Someone told me she thought she was burden on me, and all I have to say to that is my wife was never a burden she was glory to be around and loved every driver and prayed for each and every one of you. She may not have attended West Georgia Speedway or New Senoia Raceway but let me inform you she watched every race when I would come home and edit the film to DVD.

And when a driver would come by the house like Mark Knight, Joe Hillman, Mark Sims, or even Rucker Orr’s dad it was a blessing to her in every way. She had a smile from ear to ear, and had all the praises for you all. I personally THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.
