Having Fun In the Off Season

Lets get ready to rumble, bring your car out for some tests, on the New Senoia Raceway track make sure your ready for the green flag on April 2, 2011.

If you can't wait for racing season neither can I but March practices will be happening at Senoia Raceway on Mar.12, Mar.19, and March. 26

With the official opener on April 2, 2011 and that is when the men can again go and "Play in the Clay".

Just off HWY 16 you can't miss the tracks huge sight that means what it says "The Fastest 3/8 Oval DIRT Track in Georgia.

This is the place to bring your families on Saturday nights for some great food clean facilities and great racing action.

The cars take shape for the 2011 racing season at Billy Bright Sr. shop, where every day is a real work day, hands on by everyone that wants his help.

From bare nuts and bolts and every screw, Billy Bright Sr. forms the car that will make him a winner, and when he is not doing that he is building the car for his son Jr.

Just those few words alone between car and car builder can make so much of a difference, as Billy Bright Sr. pours his heart out into this finely tuned racing machine.

Piece by piece inch by inch a new race car is built, this is a special machine that has to protect the driver from being hurt in any way. Every crew member is special, because building a race car that is a winner takes all the concentration that every member has.

The crews make sure that ever bolt is tight and every screw in place, one broken part means a time to load up and go home and that is not fun.

Billy Bright Sr. is returning to the days of glory at New Senoia Raceway, at his shop this photo was captured his dream of winning against his son Billy Bright Jr.


Here they are building piece by piece the car that will prove to be a winner, just like in the film "Days of Thunder" they have to talk to every piece making sure they know what part they will play in winning the races.


What do drivers and car builders do when it is off season, and they want that need for speed, well witness below, Steven Simpson battling Billy Bright Jr at of all thing a arcade.


Yes these two take time off away from the stress of the 3/8th Oval track at Senoia Raceway to have fun and enjoy laughing and letting Billy Jr show Steven how to hold the car as they go into the curves.

What Billy Bright Jr does not know is that Steven Simpson can go faster in a straight line as proved in this photo of his yellow Vega tearing down the line at this drag race.

Taking time off at a bowling alley proves that the Brights are ordinary people, good and kind just have a hunger to win races and that's what it takes to be the best of the best.

But when it's time to work Billy Bright Jr is down on his knee's a great place to be as he humbles himself for the LORD, he is also dreaming the dreams of so many winning drivers from every State.

Here is a look at the Bad Boy Vega, of Steven Simpson, more photos coming of this bad boy.

To me this says it all on the back of Stevens Vega drag car, "With GOD you can't lose".

So true....oh so true.

Check out just one of Steven Simpson's drag racing engines, this one is called "The Heart breaker" also in his collection is "Lu Lu" and "Granny" with one he calls BAD BOY.

These are just part of Steven Simpons play toys, fast is something he does best, but with the help of Billy Bright Sr and Jr, we may see him in a B-Cadet car racing against Sr, Jr and Tim Bright Jr. so the Brights will be racing with fans standing.

When it's all said and done, these cars have to be built, and they are built with the care and love of nothing else.

Winning is the "The Brights" do best, and having the best cars helps when they are racing.

One thing for sure is everyone that is around the Brights have a job, and each job is done with the best of care, they take PRIDE in all their work no matter how small, they are doing their best and that is all someone asks is "Their Best".

When the work is over, then it is time to relax like this cutie and have a cold one, in her case this fudge bar hits the spot. Nothing like good Friends, family and good food.

Dear Racers, Little River Speedway will open gates March 12, 2011 at 2 p.m- practice at 4 p.m. till 8 p.m.. There has been a few changes in 2011 to class rules and regulations. First of all the tires, there is a huge misunderstanding and rumors to why I changed tire rules. I want to personally explain the decisions to why I did it!
This was the hardest decision I had to make for one, Jeff Treece with American Race Tires is someone I consider a close friend that I speak with at least once a week if not more!
To go with Hoosiers this year was a business decision and non-other.
By having tire rules specifying what tires a class can run takes out all the guess work for the racer himself!
The racers no longer have to worry about a brand or compound being faster than what they have on!
Also by all classes on same tires, the classes can purchase new tires and resale the used to another competitor for half price.
From a promoters standpoint with all surrounding tracks on Hoosiers its hard to pick up new racers without having the same rules.
It also takes the headache out of selling, if open tire rule this person has to have thousands of dollars tied up in a nickel and dime company.
He also can have a choice of multiple sizes to custom your race car!
Also I've had numerous phone calls claiming Brandon and Little River Speedway is getting a kickback from tires, this claim couldn't be more wrong. We don't sell enough tires period to even get the slightest kick back. Larger tracks that sell 100 plus tires a week I'm sure get something but we don't sell 100 all year!If you have any questions about tires or anything give me a call Ill try my best to help you!

ELECT DONALD J. TRUMP "Your HIRED"

We need to elect Donald J.Trump and bring this COUNTRY back to #1 and not be a laughing stock, please watch this video and decide. Remember as GAS Prices soar, just remember this man that fires the people does it because he cares.

Please listen to his speech that is all I am asking, and then you make up your own minds......racing is great but when the prices of fuel get so high it puts a burden on all of us Americans then something has to be done. NEW LIFE HIS NAME "TREVOR"

That's right TREVOR BAYNE joins the lists of names that have won the Daytona 500 something every driver dreams of doing.

THIS IS THE BIO PAGE ON THE YOUNG 20 YEAR OLD DRIVER, TREVOR BAYNE!

This is proof that anyone can win in any race, so young drivers don't give up!


10 years ago, a legend was killed in NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt Sr. in a freak of a crash, that almost looked like the one Dale Jr was involved in.

Racing FANS of all ages,
on lap 3 showed their allegiance to the "Man in Black"



The lap 3 was SILENT







But lap 4 was get in on again!




The day was set, with some of the best Super Star drivers, like Jeff Gorden, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Tony Stewart, Mark Martin, Jimmy Johnson, Kyle Busch, and so many more.


Who would ever have dreamed of a young 20 year old rookie would start the Daytona 500 and would WIN in a famous Wood Brothers car.

No one had heard of Trevor Bayne, sure he was a young rookie, but we had super stars racing against him. Drivers that had won the big races in the best of times.

Who ever heard of Trevor Bayne?
One thing for sure Bayne was a cool cat, making it through a 15 car wreck, driving like he was a veteran, just following the best of the best and staying out of trouble. and His car at the end crossed the line ahead of drivers like Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr. When they were a lap away from a green white checked flag, I could see Trevor was side by side with Tony Stewart with Dale Jr. sitting behind him, and we all know "SMOKE" or Tony could had the potential of blowing this youngster away.

But when the green dropped, Stewart and Earnhardt Jr, instead of going forward went backward, which proved to me their cars were not right.


Does this car look familiar, if so this was the car "The Silver Fox" David Pearson drove back in the 70's winning races, Trevor Bayne drove the Wood brothers #21 car that did not even have a dent on it to victory in the Daytona 500 on Feb.20, 2011.




Bayne leaped out of his winning car, still in unbelief that he had really won the Daytona 500.

The win brought back old racing times, when the KING Richard Petty would battle David Pearson known as the "Silver Fox". The winning circle would see drivers and pit crews from other drivers and owners blanket Trevor's car all congratulating him on his 1st win, and what a win.

Crossing the line with the checkered in the air, Trevor was heard on his radio "Is this true", back came the reply "Trevor Your the Man", he was still in disbelief.

















Senoia Raceway, will be the place to be April 2, 2011 when Chad Harrington drops the green and racing dirt track Southern Style gets it on again!.



Dirt track drivers are the same, every Saturday night they are on a mission to win, to be the coolest cat on the track, just waiting for the right time to get up and go!


Drivers like Billy Bright Sr have been in the dirt track wars and won.

He will be back in the B-Cadet feature going up his son Billy Bright Jr, who knows how to win, passing cars left and right, making moves only late model drivers try.
His son Billy Bright Jr. is a proven winner and the show down will be when father and son battle each other on the track, but once the green drops family member or not all bets are off, its dirt track racing at it's best.

Now take #4 Michael Nelms out of Enduro and he will be running B-Cadet you will have a battle all season long, because Nelms is known for winning and when he ran enduro he would win every night, B-Cadet will be tougher and he will have his hands full.


Lets throw #3 Big Jeff Carter into the mix and now we are racing, Carter known as "The Magic Man" can make things happen when his car is right. We have news and a rumor that his son Robbie Carter who ran pure mini has moved up to B-Cadet and will be racing against his father, so you see the battles are brewing.

Tim and Tony Moses are making sure that family fun is brought back to New Senoia Raceway with lots of things happening to make being at the track a place for all families to bring their children and friends. Plus I know for a fact the food is the best in the South, also not over priced and well worth eating at the track.

I have talked about B-Cadet races, hey what about HOBBY well if you think B-Cadet will be wild again #41 Scott Sherrer brings his championship car back to race against some of the finest hobby car drivers from Georgia and Alabama. Winning at New Senoia Raceway is like winning at Daytona, you will always be remembered.

The Crate Late Models will be back, and the action will be fast and furious, these cars are just below the limited late models, but they show speed like never before. Drivers like Craig Scott known as the "Zero Hero". Plus drivers like young and talented #M96 of Marty Lundsford, and young gun #18 Matt Dooley, who will looking for some wins in 2011.





But when their action is over, is it's time to bring on the Limited Late Models, these are the drivers people pay to see, drivers like #11 "Little Joe" Armistead Jr, who is the man with the bulls eyes because of his many wins.

Then there are the super drivers like #73 "Racing Jason Williams, and his partner in crime #25 Scott Duffey, who can and will show the way if his car is right.

Don't forget #99 Rucker Orr who plans on this season not being a bridesmaid and taking 2ND most of the time this could be Orr's year to blossom.

When all else fails we have a father and son battle in Limited Late Model as #9 Shane Fulcher shares the same feature with his father who will be driving car #29.

Seems like New Senoia Raceway is going to have lots of Father vs Son races, which should make for some great blogging. Thanks to the Brights, the Carters, and the Fulcher's.

Also Thank You Tim and Tony Moses and everyone of the staff at New Senoia Raceway that will bring some excitement to a Saturday nights entertainment.

PLAY THE "TRUMP CARD"

Remember President Obama's Speech, where he said we had so many SHOVEL READY PROJECTS ready for Americans, it was not until I thought hard about it and yes he has the shovels ready for all elderly Americans, the faster he can bury them the faster he will like it.

President Obama may be looking for a new home in 2012 as he will be having to move out of the WHITE HOUSE and back into the shack he came from.

When he gets a call from Donald Trump making sure he knows he has been "FIRED".

Donald Trump is about to show his TRUMP CARDS,and bring AMERICA Back to Number 1.

Mr.Obama you may be receiving that call to make sure all your things are to be moved out, because the DON is moving in and taking America back.

Americans, are tired of the USA being a 3rd world country, Where has MADE IN AMERICA Gone? Look at almost everything you have SAY MADE in CHINA, or Made in MEXICO, or even worse made in TAIWAN.

Why is everything made in China , Mexico and not here by hard working American people who believe it or not Mr.President or out of jobs.

Our so called President is cutting Social Security, heating and cooling aid to the elderly and so many other things.




Obama said that we would have "HOPE", now we are HOPELESSLY Looking for Jobs in America.

Obama also said we would have "CHANGE", we do lots of missing CHANGE.

Now we can agree, we elected a DOPE, with NO HOPE!

If Trump has his way he will be calling President Obama and letting him know his stay is up in the White House and now its time for a real America leader, that holds nothing back.

One of my favorite captions, when President Obama had a high priced dinner and in all places a TENT this is when the lady and the man got passed security and shook hands with the President and his wife, great security check right?.

Donald may be calling the White House making sure that Obama has all his belongings out because he is moving in and taking care of America first.



One thing you won't see is Donald Trump "BOWING" to foreign kings.
