FRIDAY COMING ON, FOLK !!!

How many race car driver's in the past history of racing have run "Moonshine"?, I mean they drove fast cars and were never afraid of the dark and taking driving at night to a new limit.

Their cars are built for SPEED, their nerves are made of steel, and they were the pioneers of what we now call racing. How many driver's had family members that at one time ran Moonshine?, who knows but maybe some of those that run on a track too hard to tame in Whitesburg, Georgia are the same drivers, that race every Saturday night at West Georgia Speedway, or "The Burg", as it is known.

This weekend, the race will feature some hard charging Modified Mini drivers, and the cash will be there as will the drivers. I am looking forward to welcoming back, #6 "King" Richard Bagby, and #07 Frank Long doing some good down home southern style racing, if you think you have seen a modified mini race and they are a bore, well you have not come down and visited West Georgia Speedway. These Modified Mini Racing men, are always up to the challenge, and they are not lagers they are speed burners. racing for the win is what they do best.

Richard Bagby, has shown he can drive Sportsman cars, to Late Model cars, and now he has choose to come back and race in the real roots of racing, in the Modified Mini cars.
Frank Long has been driving in this class for years, and I guess that is why he is the best, and he never likes 2nd place. So be ready for a Modified Mini battle supreme, if Bagby makes the show.

Ryan Heppner, is always in the mix, as is Chris Upton, a new comer to this sport, and as it is said any race can be won by any driver on any given night, yes you have the top drivers Bagby and Long, but never and I mean never count out another driver, racing is racing, and Saturday night these men will be racing for some serious cash money and a trophy, so plan on being there at "The Burg".

The Enduro race, WILL NOT feature #55 of Steven Parker who is taking a break, so some one else can maybe take 2nd place if not win the race itself. I am sure Winford Minnix will be there, as well as hard driving Lee Owensby in his green #91. Who ever races in this Enduro race will put on a show for the fans at West Georgia Speedway. These drivers give it their all, every time they race. NEWS: Terry "Sunshine" Finnall will be back before the season is over to race in this competitive sport, so be looking for his #32 BRIGHT YELLOW, car, that is why he is known as "Sunshine". because his car lights up the race track.

The Hobby car division race will also be missing, #3 Jeff Carter, who will be away this weekend, so maybe his car can recover from the beating it took Saturday night between car #16 and #92 Joe Hillman.
Also missing will be a driver that everyone knows, and that is Mark Knight who has been driving Jason Causey's #47 car. As a matter of fact Knight would go on and win Saturday night at the tough speedway, in Causey's car. But this weekend, Jason Causey will be behind the wheel, and I am sure he will be nervous.
Drivers who we know should make the show is the ever so fast #01 Blant Duke, and #29 of Rusty Johnson, I do not believe Joe Hillman will make the show and that is a shame because he can put on a show when he is on the track. Lee Mcelwayne should be back, then again who knows.

The crate cars. should feature Troy Dixon driving his #32, a always winning car, and I also look for #14 Pete Cochran to be in the show, maybe even #89 Carey Smith will make the show.
But will #16 Tony Kemp be racing, we have been missing their absence from the track, as well as #19 Jeremy Hall, we need these guys back, and I hope they make the show.

The Sportsman feature should see 2009 West Georgia Champion driver Rucker Orr back in his bright yellow #99 after all he has been a winner in his last two races, and he never looked back last week. he just drove "The Hell" out of his race car.
I don't believe #G1 Glenn McWaters will make the show, he is married now and maybe that takes away from his racing career.
Also I don't look for #26 Fletcher Cavendar, who finished 2nd last Saturday night, and even tore down Orr's car, but Orr was legal, so there was nothing he could do.
#25 young talented Scott Duffey should make the show and Scott is getting better every time he is on the track, he is showing and growing.
Will #13 Roger Cassell make the show, who knows, and what about #73 of Jason Williams, will he be there?.
I hope to see #11 Ryan Law a Alabama native that likes racing at the Burg, I hope he will make the show, he is always someone you can root for as well as watch on the track.

Anyway hope you all can be there at West Georgia Speedway THIS SATURDAY NIGHT for the all important Modified Mini Championship race. Remember the CASH is waiting as well as the trophy. SO BE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Many Thanks,
