West Georgia Speedway Saturday Night
Ok, racing at West Georgia Speedway should show some extra HEAT, on and off the track.
Racing should be exciting at the old “Historic” track, and we should see some extra hot racing action.
Can the Modified Mini race be as exciting as last week, and can Huie Stewart win 3 in a row?
Stewart is the 2009 Modified Mini Champion in this division.
Does he have the power to out motor long time winning drivers like Frank Long who has been a champion for years, but he has been getting beat and that is something Long does not like.
And will Richard Bagby return with a new motor in his mustang and try to win? If you remember last week in the Championship race Richard was there and his car engine let go, and there he was circling the track with white smoke pouring from underneath his #6 mustang.
I have not heard as of yet he will return to the “Burg”, I do know that at one time he was ready to give up racing and that is something that I can not believe because Richard is too good at racing in any car and at any track, Richard has and always will be a proven veteran winner.
But racing is hard, and drivers at West Georgia Speedway take a beating every time they race there. When they win it is special, but and all drivers can relive those times on the track, by purchasing a DVD of the race for a mere $20.
So Hey make sure you ask for Tino, and ask for a DVD, you may just want to watch it, but the great drivers, the ones that win all the time at the Burg, take it as a learning tool and a way to set up their cars for next Saturday night for their feature.
The Enduro race should really see some action as the best of the best return, meaning drivers like Winford Minnix, Lee Owensby and Steven Parker should return that should make it hard for last weeks winner Scott Miller and add some real pressure to new comer Zack Lovvorn in his #57 car.
Racing should be really hard and heavy, and anyone can win this race.
The Hobby race is going to be a real dandy, as Jeff Carter returns to West Georgia Speedway, with his signature #3.
Also racing we really hope will be #29 of Rusty Johnson, and then I am sure the #16 James Taylor will be there and he was not happy last weekend. But again Taylor was involved in some race wrecks, and he was caught spinning and showing his style.
Now we have to remember that Blant Duke will also be racing and you can never count Blant out of a race, proving last week as he started in the rear and raced to the front to win, edging out #57 of Lee McElwanyne, and Jason Causey running in 3rd place.
This weekend, we should see the top hobby car drivers back and that makes a difference.
So be prepared for some real Hobby car racing at West Georgia Speedway.
When the crate cars line up I am sure we will see #32 of Troy Dixon, and winner of last weekend race #14 Pete Cochran, and I really hope #16 Tony Kemp a real fan favorite.
Then we should have a intermission and enjoy some of the great foods from the concession stand at West Georgia Speedway, so be prepared to eat and drink as much as you need or want.
It is then that the fastest cars take the track, and I mean the best of the best.
#99 Rucker Orr in his super fast sportsman car should be ready to rumble this weekend since last weekend he had a $40 piece break prior to the race, it was a universal joint. That small piece took him out of the running last week.
This gave #G1 Glenn McWaters, and his crew the real chance at winning. The missing Rucker Orr in the line up changed the racing order; put Glenn McWaters on the pole with #18C of Shane Criswell up to the front pole position.
The new running order in 2 lined up #11 Ryan Law from Piedmont, Alabama, and next to him was #24 of Ricky Payton.
This weekend, Orr will be back with vengeance, and we know he is ready to run, I am sure maybe Mcwaters should be back, but does any one know what happened to Fletcher Cavendar?
Anyway I suggest you be at West Georgia Speedway this weekend, for some really exciting racing action.
You know what if you can bring a friend or a neighbor and “Turn them on to Dirt Track Racing”.
See the Best of the Best at this “Historic” race track that is going down in history as one of the best tracks in the South.
Many drivers say they can’t race there, you know why it’s because they come maybe one time during a season and say they don’t like track, so they lose and lose badly, let me inform all drivers the way you win at West Georgia Speedway is because you drive there every Saturday night, you have to learn this track, it can make you look like a Champion or can make you look like a chump.
You want to win, continue to race at the “Burg” as many times as possible.
Good luck to everyone this weekend,
Thanks
