Some Drivers Head to Alabama to Race

Best Friends, can always be found at West Georgia Speedway, in Whitesburg, Georgia.

"Strange but true, some drivers went to Bama to race"

Like so many things in this world, some drivers took their cars over to Alabama to race, because West Georgia Speedway was rained out!.

But on arrival, the weather was clear for racing, but wait what was the weather like behind all that so-called clear weather?. Yes you are right the same heavy rain that caused West Georgia Speedway to call the rain after 2 pm.

So you see the moral of this story is, if West Georgia Speedway is being called it is because there is no chance that Sammy Duke sees it fit for cars to race, and if there are no cars, there will be no fans.

Like I said one time Sammy never calls a race, but this time he used his head, and saved lots of drivers from coming to a race track where there would be no racing due to bad weather.

Sure I missed watching my favorite drivers, but I had a Coke and a Pizza and watched as lots of others, the Lowe's race on the Speed Channel, and watched my favorite driver, Tony Stewart or "Smoke", win the Million dollars. Plus that Tony is a car owner and has been a dirt track driver for years, and if that is not enough he owns his own dirt track. What I think is really funny is that "Smoke" now is driving for Office Depot. instead of his old sponsor Home Depot, so you can say Smoke changed Offices.

Tony Stewart takes home the Million, just a Saturday Night drive!

But to be honest, it was not like watching, the dirt cars run at "The Burg".

If you are a dirt car fan, I don't care how many NASCAR events there are, they are not the same as seeing dirt cars and drivers willing to go for it all

I am sure that someone, in future, will out run Blant Duke, who is the fastest driver in the Hobby class. And when I say beat him, I mean legal, and not win because Blant's car did not make the race.

Can this be done? You think you can out run Blant, lets see you try.

As for as the Crate cars, all I have to say is if Tony Kemp is racing, there will be a show. Tony is not only a fan favorite, but can make his famous #16 car seem to do what he wants and when he needs it to preform.

When the Sportsman line up, you never know who will win, I mean Glenn McWaters is a force, and Rucker Orr is another force, but you have new drivers like #25 Scott Duffy, that has the car he just needs some bugs tweaked and he will be running out front.

#11 Ryan Law, has proved he can win, and he has proved hie can run with the big guns. I never count Ryan out of any race.

If you want to meet a special driver, then shake hands with Michael "High Flying" Mills , he got that nickname after sailing his #28 across the screen of my camera lens during the start of a Sportsman feature race. This picture is prior to that race, he was checking his tires for proper air.

From what I hear and this is from Michael, he plans on running in the Hobby class until his Sportsman car is ready, so look out all you hobby car drivers.

Take a good long look, at a real veteran of racing wars!

Yes your right if you said, that's Richard Bagby when he was racing Sportsman cars at 7 Flags Speedway. And yes as always he has the checkered flag, something Richard has gotten used to holding.

And yes the Legend lives on, only now he is racing Modified Mini cars, at West Georgia Speedway, and again he is WINNING. So if you want to see some real racing, come on down to the "The Burg", every Saturday night, because those modified mini cars never let the fans down, from the drop of the green flag to the checkered flag, it's pure down home southern style racing.

Now here is Richard proving he still has the right
stuff to be a winning driver, of course when you have this many pretty crew members, you are always a WINNER!.

Like I said racing at West Georgia Speedway, is a challenge, and every driver of every class has to be ready, if you are a driver or you ready?.

Come become part of racing action, every Saturday night in Whitesburg, Georgia, at "Historic" West Georgia Speedway also known as "The Burg".

Thanks and stay tuned for more info from this blog, see ya!.
