“William Blair, was THERE”, WINNING $600 in cash
Who even thought that William Blair and his yellow beat up car #22 would even finish the B-Cadet race for $600 in cash, I mean everyone knows Blair is a driver that does not like second place in any race, he drives like he owns the race track.
But to this writer I had counted Blair out because of all the other drivers in the race that were racing against him, like #29 Rusty Johnson, #3 Jeff Carter, #47 Jason Causey, #98 Jimmy Johnson, and #B7 of Billy Bright Jr., and “super” Joe Hillman who was waiting for the small slip up where he could go around the #22 car of Blair, but that was not to happen. There was a list of other big time racers also involved.
The race was so exciting, that on the back straight, William’s hood came loose and started flapping in the Georgia night wind, if he had not have slowed down, I think he would have flew out of the Speedway. But everything was fine when he stopped at the flag stand and the officials removed what remained of his hood.
That yellow, just let Joe Hillman, get right onto William Blair’s tail, giving the advantage in my eye’s to Hillman who is a experienced driver and has won some of the biggest races in dirt track racing.
To me it was like Blair had Dale Earnhardt on his tail, and that was something you did not want to see, but all in all 30 laps would prove that William had the best car, the best setup and was “THE BEST DRIVER” of the night at West Georgia Speedway.
I have never really gotten to know William Blair because half the time when I arrive at a track, he has not arrived and so I never had the chance to meet this young man, who has the talent and is capable of winning some big races. He proved that to me, in the B-Cadet race.
I have always, nicknamed drivers, like “The Magic Man” Jeff Carter, “Racing Jason Williams”, “King Richard Bagby” or how about Kenny “Quick” Collins and others, so I will nickname William Blair as “SIR WILLIAM” Blair, because he was there.
I guess all in all William is trying to be like Kenny Collins but in a different sort of way, as this young man now has his own business in downtown Whitesburg, Georgia, called “Quality Tire Service Center”. The store is located at 642 Main Street in Whitesburg, Ga. And you can reach William at 770-832-6684, and remember he can and will give you a great deal on whatever you need. From Brakes, Oil Changes to new and used tires he has it all plus more.
Every young man needs a break, and if you can go by and see William he would really appreciate it. He has just taken over and he is more than willing to work, so stop by Quality Tire Service, and tell him Tino sent you.
Here are some shots of his place, so you can get some idea of his shop and also a shot of William doing something that takes time, replacing a heater core.

William has to take the complete dash out to get to the heater core, man that can be a task but he is up to the task.
Here William, takes time in his Office to read, yes thats right, my BLOG, which is updated weekly more so when racing season is over, but if it concerns racing or drivers you will read something about them here, plus a little extra news and views.
