2010 is Over at Senoia.....come on!

OCTOBER 23rd was the closing races at the New Senoia Raceway for 2010


HISTORY FOR SENOIA RACEWAY 2010







On the right closing out the 2010 season was Rodney Peters winning $1000 in cash, plus making History as the Last winner of the 2010 racing season.
Whitehead Trucking is the main sponcer,
located out of Social Circle Ga.









Mr.Scott Sherrer, WINS again, taking the cash home and proving that he can win every night at Senoia Raceway, you have to be a great driver to beat Scott and his famous #41 car.



His car is always in shape, same as Scott












Lavon Sparks, did not come to take 2nd place, he was on a mission and would hold off #27l of Doug Ludwig and win the last Crate race at Senoia Raceway for 2010.












Billy Bright Jr. had the car that no one could beat as he closed out the 2010 racing season with the flair of a crazy man. ORANGE means you are a "Bright fan"











Gary Peters took home the cash in the Pure Mini race, that featured Norman Chambers, Matthew Black, and Dusty Jones, in a heated battle. This race did not feature #16 of Stephen Hill a up and coming driver, all we can say is if you look at Peters car he never changes the body it is always beat up.















Closing the night and season up was winning driver #4 as Michael Nelms, who has won most every Enduro race of the 2010 racing season, but we all know he will work harder next season, every driver will be shooting for him.











THE SEASON ENDED WITH A BANG, BUT WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR, THE NEW SENOIA RACEWAY WILL HAVE EVERYTHING FOR EVERY FAN.

Racing, can really be exciting for fans and drivers, you can thank Jack Mills, Tim and Tony Moses as well as Mark Mills, who is the backbone behind the great food at Senoia raceway.


So Historic racing, closed with some great drivers closing out some great racing actions.


Drivers will go down in history as being the last drivers to win at Senoia raceway in the inaugural 2010 opening season.

Back for the Hobby class racing was a winner of all time, not only more than 14 wins but better a winner in life and a pleasure to know as a friend, Mr. Scott Sherrer #41.
The Hobby car gentleman who would again take his car from 4th place to the front and write his name in the history book as winning the last hobby race of the 2010 opening season at the New Senoia Raceway. Not racing would be #4M of Winford Minnix, one of Scott Sherrer foes.

Hobby cars are built for punishment, and if they are not maintained they can go down hill fast, that is what separates the winners from the losers.

Most Hobby car drivers take care of their cars and make sure they are clean and mean looking, some drivers seem to never touch them and you can tell that these drivers are the ones that finish in the tail end of races.

Scott Sherrer has always maintained his car as a clean winning car. I mean how many fans like to cheer for a driver whose car looks like it just came out of a demolition derby.

That’s why drivers in the Sportsman feature cars all look that great. Take Rucker Orr in his #99 car, a car that has been in wrecks, but has finished at Senoia in the bridesmaid spot almost weekly. Orr is a no nonsense driver who has come up through the ranks and follows in his famous fathers footsteps Mr. Ken Orr, “Moonshine Runner”. Other drivers you can always count on to be clean and great looking car’s are # 9 Shane Fulcher, #21 Kenny Collins, #27 Glenn Morris, then you have #33 Brian Reese, #73 of Jason Williams, #25 Scott Duffy, and make sure we don’t leave out #18c of Shane Criswell.

Or how about those Crate car drivers, like #11 Levon Sparks, #27L of Doug Ludwig, #91 of Todd Darda, plus #55 of Parrish Duncan.
Let’s not leave out the Iron man, #77 of Matthew Turner.

Top drivers, raced ever Weekend except one that was rained out, what’s the deal?

Then you had the class drivers in the B-Cadet that always wowed the crowds, like #3 Jeff Carter, who races with the wind, in the same class racing with him were drivers like #B7 of Billy Bright Jr. and you also have #28 Robert Chandler, and some class acts like #31 Blake Griffin, plus #T7 of Tim Bright. Everyone knows who is a bright fan. If you are wearing an “ORANGE T-SHIRT” everyone knows you are a Bright fan.

NEXT YEAR THE NEW SENOIA RACEWAY WILL NOT FEATURE THE MODIFIED MINI RACES, BECAUSE OF THE LOW CAR COUNT.

That brings us to those Pure Mini class drivers those that are coming up through the ranks and winning and proving they can drive.

Take drivers like #4 Dusty Jones, young and talented and has a car that works on certain nights. Then you have Winners like #16 of Stephen Hill, who has the car that works almost all the time and this driver is a seasoned veteran.
I will not leave out #00 Matthew Black, a tall young driver that is almost or maybe as tall as Stephen Hill, both are giants in small cars
.
But when they are racing, its hey move over are get moved.
Don’t ever leave out #54 Norman Chambers, who on the last night of racing at Senoia hit the inside wall and looked like he would be out of the action, he did pull into the pits but before the green flag dropped he was back on the track, which he would go on to finish in 2nd place behind the winning driver for the 2010 season #13 Gary Parker, whose car never looks like he touches it to make it look better, he just pulls it out with dents and scrapes and wins.

The last classes of cars are the Enduro, and the out come is always #4 of Michael Nelms, early in the season it was #99 of The Elderly Gentleman, of Mr. Mike Ray, also racing was the legend #85 of Pappy Powell who is four time older than half of the drivers he races against. But what can you say if Pappy comes to race he is there to beat and bang, I have yet to see him win but he has won, I just have never been behind the camera filming to watch him win.


WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR, Senoia Raceway is going to put on some great shows, demolition derby’s which always bring out the crowds.
Later in the year, how bout letting the Late Models run in some great exciting races, I mean can you imagine Super Late Models all running at Senoia Raceway, this is the show I am looking forward too.


Whatever happens I will be back at Senoia Raceway filming all the action in 2011 and I am so thankful to Jack Mills, and Tim and Tony Moses and Mark Moses and all the great official staff and a thrill meeting all the workers from those that work from the concession stand, to the officials in the score box.

Ok now you have all I have for Senoia for 2010, comes on lets make sure 2011 turns out to be a better year of racing with some history also to be made by these special drivers. Make sure you get ready for some racing action at the New Senoia Raceway in 2011
