#K1 Kip Stanfill Returns to Racing in 2010

"Kip Stanfill and his famous #K1 will be arriving this month at Senoia Raceway in the Hobby race"

One of the most feared drivers in racing sports is making a huge come back to the dirt tracks here in Georgia.

Who is this K1 I am speaking about, non other that Kip Stanfill, a legendary
driver at the late great 7 Flags Speedway. Kip started racing in 2001 and
ended up leaving the track in 2003 when 7 Flags Speedway closed down.
Kip would go on, and win
lots of races, and also make great friends in the process of his racing career.
He is coming back, so look out Hobby drivers!
Kip is an automotive genius
as he works Monday through Friday
at his own Automotive shop located
in Douglasville Georgia, called “Kip’s Automotive” located on Hwy 5 in Douglasville Georgia. You will learn more about his shop later.

Getting to know Kip is something else because he is one of a kind,
and a special friend. I consider him as someone I can ask questions and get straight answers. Working is some thing Kip makes a priority.

His wife Carmen, who has been with him every step of the way, in bad times and in good times, she has stuck by him. Something that is rare in a marriage today. They have two wonderful and beautiful children.

You know racing is really something else, when a driver straps on his helmet he gets in a total different mind set.

Kip has been out of racing for years, but he has been hanging around the pit area more so at New Senoia Raceway, he is well known by other drivers.

The class he will be running will be the Hobby division, and when we found out he was headed back to the track, you know he will have everything working when he is ready to rumble.

K1 will be “BLACK” and I am sure that every fan will get their moneys worth.

Scott Sherrer has been the hobby car champion and for several races
, but you know will Scott have the car to beat Kip. Who knows what will happen, it will it all work out and we will see who will out run who.

Kip Stanfill, was born in Marietta Georgia in 1967, so he is a Georgia born and raised race car driver.

His future wife Carmen worked in the concession stand at South Eastern International Raceway, or the Dallas Georgia Drag strip.

It seems that Kip could not take his eyes off her, and he wanted to get know her better, but the only thing he could do was have his friend keep ordering hot dogs, so you could say it was a bun and a dog that hooked them up.

She made the right call when she married Kip in 1989. They have been happy ever since, even when Kip was racing at 7 Flags Speedway when he was working as a mechanic at “West Georgia Tires & Sales”.

They live in Douglas County Georgia, and work weekly at his own shop called Kips Automotive, Inc
Located at 9130 C-Hwy Douglasville, Georgia 30134
Are calling him at 678-715-1357 and have your vehicle taken care of by the best mechanics in the business.

Kip would race against some of the best hobby car drivers in the South, like Joe Hillman, Roscoe Collins, Mark Page and whoever else could get into the race.

Kip is known for his laid back stance while holding the checkered flag after a hard fought win. When I think of him it brings back the late great Dale Earnhardt Sr. stance.

He started racing in a Blue car, but now he is going back to “THE BLACK” car, with the “K1” emblazoned on the side.

When he pulls on to the track at the New Senoia Raceway, you will be watching one of the great drivers returning back to dirt.

More or less, let Kip play in the Dirt on Saturday nights, and his wife and his other mechanics work on other folk’s cars and trucks during the week.

So the fans at New Senoia Raceway, are about to see a driver that can keep pace with #41 Scott Sherrer, who is a legend himself.

The hobby car class will take on a new meaning, as soon a “K1” Kip Stanfill, pulls on to the track for the first time. We can all sit back and say the LEGEND IS BACK.

Racing in the Hobby feature, will never be the same, so get ready for the entrance of Kip Stanfill and “K1” his black race car, ready to blow some doors off.

Kip in this photo on the left, takes it easy resting because he knows about all the beating and banging that goes into racing, more so in the Hobby class.

At his shop these photos adorn the wall, his hall of fame, kind of brings back some good memories. As he was a constant winner at 7 flags Speedway in Douglasville.

Kip dreaming, about getting back into racing, something he loves.

When #K1 is on the track look for a battle with all the cars in his Hobby feature.

GOOD THINGS ARE ABOUT TO HAPPEN TO KIP AND HIS FAMILY, BECAUSE NOT OFTEN DO YOU SEE A RAINBOW OVER HIS SHOP IN DOUGLASVILLE, GEORGIA.
The Legend is returning!

Many Thanks

Tino
